One of our possible targets declares

Moncrief is a stud as well. I think this is the best draft for wide outs since 2011. I just watched a ton of film on Lee and I came away impressed. Watkins is to me the top guy no doubt. Lee and Evans after that in either order and Benjamin after that. Moncrief, Robinson, Cooks...yikes. Soooo deep there have to really do your homework, outside of Sammy there is no can't miss. Lee will run a 4.3 at the combine. If we do take another position we may be set up in the second.

Heres my best value in the draft darkhorse thusfar. You get this guy late rd 2 or early rd 3 and you got yourself a good draft. Watch this...

Ps that huge monster from Clemson that caught that TD in the bowl game decided to come out early too.....nice lookin mid round steal there.

I wouldn't care if the Lions went wr in 2 out of the first 3 rounds.

ya was a very good draft for WRs...and we get durham and titus out of it lmao.

Titus Young went nuts, he was a stud his rookie year. Any Lions fan that says they weren't looking forward to Titus' 2nd year in the NFL is lying.

Actually I was looking forward to Titus' second year...I though for sure Mayhew was going to be fired for not drafting Smith or Cobb. Oh well.

You thought for sure Mayhew was going to be fired going into 2012? After a playoff appearance in 2011.

And you use Cobb? Young outproduced Cobb in 2011.

In an offense that threw 750 times where he's the number 2 on a team where the number 1 was triple covered every play. They could afford to bring Cobb along slowly the Packers can actually draft receivers. We pay five million a year to Nate Burleson and draft the cast of the gong show. Honestly if Mayhew is doing the receiver drafting this year I'd rather go DT he seems to be okay at picking that position. Maybe we should ask Millen back for this draft, he's what? 1 for 3? I'll take it.

LOL. You are bashing 2011. Lions did extremley well throwing the ball. 41 TDs ring a bell. 5,038 yards.

Smith got more targets than Titus Young. You couldn't to hold that against him. Smith had a worse catch rate than Young in 2011.

Funny, that hughes wanted cobb, an under 6 ft receiver that he is totally against drafting now.

Why are we still talking about Titus Young? Unless it is in the context of either highlighting the fact that Mayhew can't pick a wide receiver, like Hughes and I, or in submitting a journal article to the American Psychology Association, it really is a non starter.

In his defense, that was before footloose was overthrowing the Harlem Globetrotters.

You made the comment that Mayhew should be fired going into 2012. You need psychiatric help for that.

Young had talent. The extent of his insanity could not be known. People are blaming a concussion for it too. Broyles has talent too. Proudced just like rookie year Cobb (when we could bring Broyles along slowly due to having other targets, your words not mine). A separate knee injury and an achilles injury derailed that.

Back to the drawing board at WR. Go Round 1 WR. You'll get a bigger faster one most likely.

To be fair I never thought the right hand man of Matt Millen should have been hired in the first place. Jeez I hope a round 1 receiver will be better than the garbage we got. Drafting a wr in round 1 after 5 drafts is pure ineptitude.

Lol, point taken. What's the point of even mentioning Cobb now then? Stafford would've overthrown him anyway.

Talent but insanity and injury. Derrick Williams blew chunks though. He was an all around college player but just couldn't do jack in the NFL.

Mayhew gets one more shot to draft a WR. Round 1 you'll get more talent as opposed from mid to late Round 2 its more risky. Round 1 WRs are still risky but they all have the size and speed you should need.

I'm on the Marquis Lee train. I don't think Watkins will be there when we pick so dreams dashed for me. Mike Evans would be intriguing but he is raw and creates separation through his body, advantage though he is a much bigger target.

Let's do it LKP, bring in a 1a to Calvin and let the Wiz go to work. Scared about the 3-4 move though. Huge waste to stick Suh at the nose. Don't want to see Ansah at 3-4 olb.

I see Ansah as a good OLB. Like A. Smith from SF. I would use Suh at DE though I'm not sure if Fairley can play NT or if we have someone who can be a Ted. But we have a draft to work with.

We need two big space eaters, (rare those guys play every down) draft and FA could provide Mitch. Don't forget LBs as well.
