He looks like a guy who should be running an 1890s soda fountain with his stupid bow tie on the Fox World Series coverage.
But he's so eloquent.

I agree that he should not be allowed to be "in baseball" but he should be in the HOF...IMO
Baseball Hall of Fame is a private interest and has rules and standards for selection. Rose does not qualify based on those standards as long as he is banned from baseball. That would be the first hurdle. The next hurdle would be whether veteran's committee would even cast enough votes for him.
Clearly, his performance on the field was noteworthy. However, if you use the standards the Hall of Fame has, he should never be enshrined just on the integrity issue alone, assuming they actually apply the standards. THat is the same standard that is keeping the PED users from garner enough votes.
I understand all of that....I just feel that he should be in the HOF based on what he did on the field. Just my opinion.
So you want all known PED users to be in as well?
the way I look at it...there are already PED users in or there will be...they weren't caught. Anyone with the numbers should be in...if they get caught for PED's it should be noted in the HOF. Just like guys that got caught gambling, using drugs, or any other issue. These things are all a part of baseball.
OK...so a similar take. If he hadn't already been elected, should O.J. Simpson be in the Hall of Fame?
That's a tough one. I guess I draw the line at double murder!
So there is a line and performance isn't the only standard?
I don't care if he bet on every game he played in...I still think he should be in the HOF
