Ya thats what Im thinking too - which makes me question two things
1) why would the coaching staff choose the exact same running play as last weeks failed 2pt conv. attempt as the 'running play' option?
2) Knowing there was a roughly 50/50 chance Stafford would audible into the running play, why would they throw Joique Bell out on the field, given how shitty he had looked all day/he got stonewalled on the same play the week prior?
If I was Stafford, I honestly would have said 'F It' and thrown regardless of what look the D gave, knowing that Bell was the RB...if it was AA, thats a different story. With AA on the field the D would have to have accounted for two scenarios once Stafford audibles out, a run w/ AA, or a screen pass to AA. That forces the D to think twice before going 'all out blitz' mode, and likely hold one LBer back to shadow AA for even a second.
