PFF Review Week 3

http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/2015/10/01/lions-stafford-calls-plays-when-he-can/73153346/

Found the information I was looking for about the checks - looks like Stafford gets two options per play and can choose one of those..which is what happened during the two pt conversion. So, that shit is all on the coaches..

"On many snaps, the Lions call two plays and Stafford has the chance to check to the second option after surveying the defense. That's what happened on the failed 2-point conversion run by Joique Bell in Week 3, a play that was originally a pass"

It does sound like Raiola departing has had an impact on the OLine blocking scheme, which makes sense.

"Stafford had an increasing amount of control during his five seasons under offensive coordinator Scott Linehan. With longtime center Dominic Raiola gone, Stafford now has more control over the pre-snap blocking assignments and consistently communicates with current center Travis Swanson, but Stafford said one player missing isn't leading to the offensive woes."

All in all it sounds like Stafford has officially been handcuffed by this staff, which shows....

All I know is Matt's last season under Gym Shorts (Linehan) was 20 TD, 17 INT. Matt is being handcuffed by Matt.
