The defense looks good. The DBs have been much more active and playing on receivers which they weren't earlier. Much tougher windows for qbs. They get enough pressure to move the qb and get sacks when it seems like the big play. The LBs have been inconsistent but more good than bad. I think the last few weeks they've made 1or 2 bad plays but have stepped up overall. Some of it is competition but the guys have bought in to scheme and have figured out how to fill in for injuries. I won't discount what the defense has done and maybe it's time to buy in that Nevin Lawson and diggs are actually just stepping up and playing well. Ngata being healthy has helped too. The run defense has been much improved.

Agree that Ngata health is pretty big

3/5ths of the secondary has changed with Quddus, Lawson and Diggs. Plus Whitehead more. That is a lot of different people playing.

Reid, Wright (though hurt recently),Wilson and Thornton seem to be doing a good enough job too. Taylor made some plays recently for once.

Taylor has really stepped up. The rotation of him and Jones opposite of ansah has been good against the run. They get pressures on the qb and an occasional sack but the dline has been really about how far ansah can take them with the others just stepping up and eating up blockers. . That's why the lbs look better, Reid and ngata have been pushing the middle so lbs have only had to deal with rbs. The defense has been playing a lot of tight coverage in the backend and its been nice to see.

LKP was given just 3 weeks from me, after his previous ban of 2 weeks had come and gone.
He could have returned Dec. 20th.
I found out he is tech savvy and he came back with another sn for a couple of days.
I had to ban that new sn.
The Administrator decided LKP will be gone for a much longer time out.

I f-ing hate the Lions.. The team I have sadly grown up with since that late 1960's and that first season I watched ever game in 1970 when i was nine years old.. They have broken my heart every year since then..

The Ford's are just so inept..
