Playoffs

Defense was trash against 49ers. Not stafford

13 points thru 3 qtrs vs a team picking in the top 5... he sucked until stat padford showed up in the 4th qtr.

Lions win out beating rams, at cards, at bills, Vikings at packers
Bears win north
Vikings lose to bears, at patriots and at lions for 8-7-1
Panthers lose 3 of 6 for 9-7. Lose tiebreaker to lions. They play stud saints twice by the way
Seattle loses to at panthers, Vikings and chiefs for 8 losses
Redskins go 2-3 or worse. They have eagles twice, giants, at titans, at Jacksonville.
Dallas wins NFC east
Packers lose to Vikings or bears or falcons and lions for 8-7-1

9-7 lions still have a good shot
Falcons already have 7 losses so lose one of five, Eagles are 4-6 so lose 2 of 6, Bucs have 7 losses so lose one

Win over panthers could be huge

Two wildcards so one of those scenarios doesn?t necessarily have to happen

haha

LKP, do the Lions play on Saturday or Sunday? I can't seem to find it anywhere! :lmao:

Refs and injuries cost lions 5 games. 11-5 and playing the cowboys saturday

Idiot, nothing about the Lions says 11-5. The Lions underperformed all year long. Blaming injuries only screams lack of depth, blaming officiating says you're a crybaby pussy

Quinn said the same thing in his presser

I may have missed it but he didn’t mention injuries anywhere in this recap. You Can’t blame injuries and refs. That is a cop out. For every play the refs botched I am sure in some of the wins the refs missed something that in turned helped us win. If you blame injuries it means you are blaming lack of team depth. Now for that you can blame Quinn. he also screwd up the Whole Ebron deal. You can blame Stafford for not making any one player better last season, and you can blame Patrica for being in over his head. If he did mention injuries it must have been a minor mention because I just won’t see it, and if he did he is a bigger pussy then we thought.

I see several teams in the playoffs this year that dealt with injuries and still managed to make it...I just don't buy it.

The Chargers were without their star RB for several games and arguably one of their best defensive players in Joey Bosa for most of the season, also lost a very good CB in Verrett for the entire season as well as their starting TE Henry

The Eagles secondary was totally depleted at one point, lost their starting RB early, and Wentz missed both the start of the year and the playoff push

Seahawks and Chiefs struggled with injuries on defense

Colts have had a revolving door of WRs, Doyle missed most of the season, and they lost both their tackles

Patriots were starting Cordarrelle Fucking Patterson at RB at one point, Gronk has been hobbled, and Gordon is gone

I don't see how the Lions were any worse off than any of the teams that managed to overcome their injuries. Losing Kerryon, MJJ, and Lang was rough, along with Slay here and there, but so rough that a "playoff" team finishes 6-10? Hell, the Lions were one of the healthiest teams mid-season and still couldn't climb over .500.

Nobody lost best pass rusher and top two WRs , top olineand top te plus many other injuries

And Quinn for sure mentioned injuries in his press conference. Can’t blame refs or he gets fined but he mentioned half a dozen plays that of changed could have meant lions are playing this weekend

Saints, rams, bears super healthy

Chargers didn’t lose all their weapons. Pats rb losses was limited. Gordon not that good and he was gone late not early or Midway.

Chargers had a super easy schedule and refs gave them the game against Pittsburgh in comeback. Raiders twice, broncos twice, bengals, cardinals, 49ers no jimmy g, titans, cle with hue Jackson coaching, at pit falling apart with ref help. Lost to rams and chiefs early. Healthy to beat seattle. Lions 12-4 too facing that

Lions were damn close to 11-5. Quinn knows how to fix holes. Pass rush and slot wr/te are the holes along with cb 2

Stafford was giving the ball away way to much. Fumbles int?s. Lions were not close to the playoffs and blaming it on injuries is just a excuse. All teams had to deal with players hurt. I guess it is the Lions way because there have no playoff wins since The earlier 1990?s. Lions fans always have a excuse way they failed. They failed because they sucked. Injuries are a component but not the only reason. Tired of excuses, excuses, excuse. Build a better team with better depth instead of complaining about injuries which every NFL team has to endure this year.

Only 7 ints in final 15 games. Fumbles all trying to do too much because he had no help or blocking. Less turnovers than last year and division champion bears

Injuries and refs are why we are not in playoffs

When you throw it 2 yards INT go way down. Plus AR only threw 2 all year.

And we didn't either.

Ansah missed 10 games and limited in like 2 others.

It's like taking Khalil Mack or Aaron Donald off the Bears or Rams or Cam Jordan off the Saints or Hunter off the Vikings

147 11+ for Stafford
139 11+ for Brees

Also you need time to throw deep. Last 9 games, Stafford didn't have time. Plus the best deep threat in league in Marvin Jones was gone
