Pretty Damn Impresive

What exactly is this? Are we going back to the future to retroactively pump our team up? They are good. Because Eli is throwing TDs against Washington doesn't suddenly make him elite and make the Lions look that much better.

It's going to get really annoying late in the year when they've had 7+ opponents. The slappies will be here to give us a run down of every team the Lions have faced and how it proves how elite the Lions are.

Got to play whoever is on the schedule. Packers is a nice win no matter what. Saints/Falcons would be nice wins too.

Packer win was huge. Especially for me since my wife is from Green Bay and I don't have to hear shit for a few weeks about that team.

I'd flip my shit if they beat the Saints/Falcons. Especially the Saints, I'm bitter as hell about the playoff loss still.

Falcons we get in London so we have a shot there. Happy that it counts as a home game for them and not us

No one is denying that it's a big win. But I take issue when the discussion revolves around how incredible the Lions were. They tripped over themselves offensively and still won. Benefited from a horrible GB gameplan, and a fumble that was weak sauce. Doesn't matter, still great that they took advantage, but just admit that the Lions got a lot of good fortune.

I think the biggest thing to take front the GB win was the Lions finale capitalizing on a good team playing poorly. In the past we would play down to their level and lose a game we should have won

Lions made things happen. Dominating TOP with their last 5 offensive drives. TD at the most important time (clutch). Good coverage and pressure.

So LKP pretty much whenever the Lions win its all on them,
When they lose there is always some special circumstances that caused the Lions(the better team) to lose

Not always. But sometimes. Lions clearly melted last year with turnovers and penalties. Some unforced

Lions forced their turnover and dominated the TOP. It wasn't just one play. It was many first downs for the Lions and many stops of Green Bay.

So what happened against the panthers?

Both fumbles were forced by Panthers. Pick a little lucky for them with the guy trailing and Calvin popping it up. 15 points on two long drives in second half. Panthers outplayed us and won. Would have been closer or different if Freese could hit some field goals. Kicking counts.

Just wanted to make sure you agree we were out played

To not give credit to our defense = Being a Negative Ass
To overdue it and say they will be ranked top 5 at the end of the year = Homer

Also, it's easy to spot the negative nancy's on this forum. When they find literally only the negative in every situation.

If your defense is ranked #1 and your first response is to try and DISCREDIT your OWN team = Negative Dumbass.

Top 5 is possible still. It's less crazy than it was this offseason saying it. Can we do this to Saints, Falcons, Packers again, Pats and Bears twice. We won't shut all of them down but we can shut a few down. Vikings twice, Cards, Bills, Jets, Bucs, Dolphins we better shut down.

What the fuck are we supposed to say? Eli had an awesome game! cam was unstoppable! Rodgers played like his all pro self! And none of it mattered cause our defense is SOOOOO AWESOME! its just not true lol.....

the giants when they played us was one of the worst offenses ive ever seen on a football field.

Cam had zero run support and still put up a ton of points on us by basically throwing to 2 people.

Arod was awful. When he was pressured he was awful. When he WASNT pressured he was awful. When he had wide open WRs in the end zone he was awful.

Our defense has played great against the run...cant take that away from them whatsoever. But the pass defense is getting a HUGE boost from opposing qbs simply not playing well.

Guy in our league benched Knile Davis for the week against NE and started Donnell at flex.

... I want to know where he bought HIS magic 8-ball, cause that move made ZERO sense before this game started.

Jamaal Charles is back this week.

And bolt of lightning... Weren't you talking all off-season how total shit Eli was? Now that offense is good? Good lord you are the king of the flip flop, it's making my head hurt.

Who the hell are you talking to??

It will be annoying to you IF the Lions shut down teams and you're reminded of it? Hmmmm interesting.
