Race to the bottom

And Detroit isn't the only team that phantom calls against at games end. It just seems that way because we're up close and personal with this shitty organization.

GB was a win if call didn't happen. The Seattle game, still time left and they still had to score.

Shit happens. Don't fumble at the goal line and don't play for a lateral. Those 2 games are this organization in a nutshell. And honestly I'm not sure Goodell has any pull with the refs. I don't think the refs even like Goodell.

And Seattle was doing squat offensively on that day. We sacked Wilson like 6 times that game and pressured him a ton. The fumble is irrelevant anyways. Don't fumble?? Chancellor made a gigantic play on knocking the ball loose.
And Goodell has no pull with the refs??? He's the NFL Commissioner for fuck sakes.....he needs to right the wrongs with these referees. The hiring, training, the technology. Your damn right he's involved. Liking him or not doesn't mean anything

I'll say it again....I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT OTHER TEAMS!!! I'm sick of seeing our team get hosed at least 2-3 times a year by the refs.

58 years of failure. Refs were part of every game. You might be on to something. Lol.

Our moron coach cost us atleast 2 games this year as well. Thanks mayhew.

You're probably right, Hughes. So we have the talent to win at least 10 games. Refs and coaching burned us for at least 3-4 games.

This is so freaking true.. Who the hell knows what happens if we do not get screwed in that
Game at Dallas in the playoffs. I personally think Caldwell needed to go off a tad on the Red's on the sidelines after that missed penalty. Sometimes it is called for.. Who knows if he does maybe other calls this year go our way.. Also if we didn't get screwed who knows maybe we were the team with a chance to run the ball at the 1 yard line instead of Dumb coach Carroll.

Can't you say the same for basically every team in the NFL?? Other than a few horrible franchises, doesn't every team have the talent to win 9, 10 games but it comes down to some bad calls and missed coaching assignments?

Face it, this team is a below average team in a horrible year of NFL football. Our fans focus on the calls because they are local. But you can stamp it that other fans bitch about very similar situations about a blown call.

And again, I have said this a zillion times but you just respond with "That call single-handedly cost us the game." No, they didn't. Seattle still had an eternity to march down and score. GB scored on a ridiculous hail mary due to the coaches have NO clue what to do.

Yeah, that one call only took 7 points off the board, under 2 minutes to go to an offense that was doing jack shit. You're right, buddy....it was nothing lol. Get your fkn head out of your ass ffs

Boss, OTs and sure fire DBs gone by 13. We're in Laquan Treadwell territory but he may be gone too. Treadwell and Okung would work.

Maybe. I see some teams up top that might reach for a QB, but that may be too risky.

For sure you'll get at least one qb in the top ten. One will get hyped up enough to entice some team into taking the plunge. Most of the guys were we're looking at in earlier threads were top 5-10 guys, 13 needs a bit of a relook at who will be available.

Maybe Treadwell like you said or top LB or CB? Because the best OTs (Tunsil, Stanley) should be gone

A lot of the mocks have us taking a DT. After missing out on Donald I would cringe and hope the guy was an all pro.

I seen a mock where we took a DE/DT A'Shawn Robinson from Alabama. To be honest, I don't know squat about the kid.

Info?

Barring wild fluctuations in SoS the final week, the best case scenario for the Lions would be

Pos--Team----------Record----SoS
1----Tennessee------3-12-----.493
2----Cleveland-------3-12-----.529
3----San Diego-------4-11-----.511
4----Dallas------------4-11-----.529
5----San Francisco---4-11-----.556
6----Miami------------5-10-----.453
7----Jacksonville-----5-10-----.467
8----Baltimore--------5-10-----.489

The above will finish higher than the Lions no matter what
----------------------------------------------------

9----Tampa Bay------6-9------.453 (@ Panthers, need to win)
10---NY Giants-------6-9------.498 (vs Eagles, unlikely tie would be needed otherwise one is guaranteed to finish higher than the Lions)
11---New Orleans----6-9------.507 (@ Falcons, need to win)
12---Philadelphia-----6-9------.520 (see Giants)
13---Detroit---------6-9------.547 (@ Bears, need to lose)
14---Chicago----------6-9------.556 (vs Detroit, need to win)

Bucs, Saints, Bears winning and Giants/Eagles tying gives the Lions the 9th pick

Bucs, Saints, Bears, and either Giants or Eagles winning gives the Lions the 10th pick

--------------------------------------------------------

On the flip side, there are four 7-8 teams left

15. Buffalo (.498 SoS, vs Jets)
16. Oakland (.502 SoS, @ Chiefs)
17. Colts (.520 SoS, vs Titans)
18. St. Louis (.542 SoS, @ 49ers)

The 49ers record should bring St. Louis's SoS down, at least below Detroit's SoS

Best Case Scenario: 9th Pick
(Realistic) Best Case Scenario: 10th Pick
Worst Case Scenario: 18th Pick
