Get StartedI would have dropped us out of top ten
You think there are 10 teams out there that would beat Michigan on a neutral field?
Given like that, I understand the ranking. But the performance yesterday was just not top to me
I am not complaining as I do think we can be better than yesterday but definitely issues to fix (defending crossing routes?).

I don't know if it is "crossing routes," though that seems to be the catchphrase of the day. OSU picked on Watkins, over and over. Then after Bush and Long went out, they starting running and picking up yards on jet sweeps. They, also, ran some wheel routes where receivers or backs were on a linebacker. OSU picked out a couple of weaknesses and exploited them.
The crossing route thing comes from the IU game, but Michigan shut down IU in the second half, crossing routes and all...
I agree with Tinsel on this. 8th is about right in terms of ranking this team. PSU, MSU, Wiscy, even NW were all big games and Michigan won them all pretty easily. Can't go back now and discount these games as insignificant unless you do the same to all the other teams, including OSU's win over "overrated" Michigan.
So, Georgia moves up into the 4th spot, followed by the Sooners and then OSU. Stupid OSU fans chanting "overrated" at the game. If Michigan was overrated then the win over them is less significant and should be discounted in terms of rankings and the CFP. What imbeciles! But, I guess OSU is in a good spot for moving up into the CFP. If Georgia loses to Bama (likely) and the Sooners lose to Texas (possibly?), then OSU would move up to #4 if they beat NW (likely). OK only lost to TX by 3 points earlier in the season, so that game will probably be the deciding factor for OSU's chances. The first match up was a home game with TX and the Big 12 championship is in Arlington, TX, so I guess the advantage goes to TX in terms of location of the game, but ESPN has OK favored. It's gonna be a shootout.
Oh, and I forgot to take into account Urban's likely crying and whining about how this is going to be his last season so OSU should be included in the CFP out of appreciation for what a great coach he is and deserves one last shot at the NC... Have to take that into consideration too.
Playing conservative like they do? Yes absolutely.

Michigan was probably overrated at #4. It is kind of stupid for fans to point that out.
I thought the first game between Texas and OU was on a neutral field. I thought that the red river rivalry is always on a neutral field.
Yes you are correct. It is played annually at the Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas. Has been for years. It used to be called the red river shoot out but then the PC police got involved. When I first started following college Football in the late 60s early 70s, it wasn?t interconference rivalry, Texas was in the SW AC and Oklahoma was in the big eight.
EDIT: Check that, because of the current structure of the big 12 it might not be quite annual anymore. But it?s still always played at the Cotton Bowl when it happens.
I wouldn't consider Dallas Tx to be neutral territory for a team from Oklahoma. But it is about half way between the two schools. Arlington TX is in that same area. Whatever! It is going to be a shootout (we Texans don't cotton much to the PC police like all ya'll do out there in La La Land).
Yes...Dallas is about halfway and since Oklahoma has agreed to play the game there since...well always, pretty much...I guess they feel it’s neutral enough.
As I am remembering Dallas is within an hour of the Oklahoma border.
So, if NW beats OSU, and Bama beats Georgia, and Texas beats OU, does Michigan jump up over UCF into the 4 spot in the CFP again? After all, UCF lost their starting QB. It could happen!
Losing to 'Bama won't push Georgia past Michigan. Not a chance.
