RB situation

If he's a top 10 running back, then the Lions wouldn't go burning a high top pick on a running back to replace him.

He's a complementary piece. There are 15 RBs I can name off the top of my head that are better than Bell. You can try and sell as hard as you want about health, line, etc... But when you watch him run, he's average at best. He is who he is. Stop trying to make him out to be a great RB (which a top 10 would be). He's ok.

Are you that slow? Bush was a cap cut. They need two backs. Abdullah is more of a Bush type back. They took Abdullah to replace Bush.

Bell is a top 10 back and a power back. Abdullah is the explosive back that is a good receiver. And has return skills. Lions easily use both.

Great RB group in Detroit.

Bell can be a bell cow but doesn't need to be. I think it's dumb to give a back 300 carries and glad the Lions don't use that strategy.

Also Bell is 29 so Abdullah helps for future. The whole 4 year contract thing.

2nd round for Abdullah has nothing to do with how they feel about Bell. Bell will get his carries. Right to the top of the depth chart upon his return.

Well, it should. Bell is not the future running back of this team. And if he is, they are in trouble.

And when you ooze about how much depth they have at RB, sounds like they already have it without Abdullah. No need to draft him then, eh? Don't need 4 great capable RBs.

Injuries happen. 4 deep is great depth. Abdullah looks like a damn playmaker. Riddick is a nice receiver but Abdullah is a playmaker in the open field and deserves 150 carries. Maybe more. It was a great pick. Plus retrun skills.

Mayhew made the right call 100% on Abdullah. Now and the future. And Bell will produce good things this year with improved blocking in front of him.

I agree that Mayhew made the right call with Abdullah, because he knows that Bell is not a featured back and is a nice complementary piece at best.

And like I said, if Bell is getting the majority of the carries, that means the RBs aren't as great as everyone is proclaiming.

Bell is a work horse. Abdullah is a playmaker. Maybe the best back tandem in the league.

Yeah. Guy who hasn't played a snap and an average RB is the best tandem in the league. Right on. Guys like Bell and Lynch are worth more than the entire Lions backfield on their own.

Two better than one. And Lions are a good passing team. Just need average run game really. But it will be good.

Call up Pittsburgh and offer them those two for Bell. Use that "hey, two's better than one" logic. See what they'd say.

Joique Bell is a a top 10 back. Abdullah is loaded with talent. I wouldn't trade them for Le'Veon suspension Bell.

And that's why you wouldn't be a GM. If you tried to get that from Pittsburgh, they'd laugh you off the line. Same with Seattle.

And if the general public found out you turned down Bell for those two, you'd be outed from the position on the spot.

I'd win the Super Bowl almost evey year.

Two good backs is a great thing. Bell is suspended.

This is honestly probably the worst (best?) troll statement you've made yet. I'd ban you right now if I was a mod.

In 2014 LeVeon Bell was top 5 in DYAR. You know where Joique Bell was? 44th out of 45 eligible RBs with 100 or more attempts. Every single statistic imaginable shows you are trolling or insane. I was really hoping your schtick would end when we got closer to the regular season.

I did too!! He kinda calmed down when the season approached last year. But this is worse.

This conversation has taken a turn for the worse. L. Bell for A. Abdullah and J. Bell?? That's the dumbest thing I have read on here in awhile

Bell didn't have run blocking!!!!! 4.4 YPC the last 8 games. Joique Bell is a top 10 back per PFF. Abdullah has so much talent. No way I give up 2 for a guy with a drug problem.

I don't care about DYAR.

Tony, you are saying you wouldn't take Bell for those two?

You are swapping the best RB (or close to it) in the game for a guy who hasn't played yet in Abdullah. Bell can be replaced by a majority of backup RBs who do similar stuff.

LOL a drug problem. Guy got busted for pot.

Likely the best RB in the NFL for someone who hasn't played, and a guy who can be replaced by many other backup RBs who do similar stuff than him??

Never said that, man. L. Bell is a monster, but no GM would offer that up or even listen to that offer. It's fucking retarded to even talk about it, but I guess I will...lol. J. Bell is getting long in the tooth, but he has that Fred Jackson feel to him. He's not that easily replaceable like you think he is. When healthy, he gets those tough yards, catches the ball well and has a nose for the EZ. You're disrespecting Joique IMO.
And I think AA is going to be special. He's a better version of Reggie Bush IMO. Won't be a bell cow, but will get huge chunks and make big splash plays his whole career.
Now, L. Bell, he's the BEST RB in the game today. He does it all, but he's not too smart with this off field shit. He cleans up and he's the man for years.

Oh I know, that's just kinda where the conversation went lol. And that's why I told LKP that it would never happen, because no GM in their right mind would give up Bell for those two. They'd want like two or three (combo) first and second round picks in addition.

Maybe so, I just see a lot of backup RBs who have a similar build that he does. Can get you 3,4 yards, but doesn't do anything special.
