Teams usually don't try and trade good, young catchers who are cheap unless you have another good, young catcher who is cheap right behind him.

catchers are overrated position because they have to rest often and get hurt often and usually, there are only a handful that can produce.

However, "good" isn't known yet. Had he had 3-4 good seasons in a row (like McCann or something) then I agree with you. But I would have jumped on an everday thirdbasemen or 2nd basemen if I was offered.
