2013 we had 6 bad rushing days and 10 good rushing days (4 YPC or higher). All 6 bad rushing days either missing Calvin (2), Bush (3), Waddle(5) or had Oline shuffle (1 cincy)

Lions went 1-5 on the bad days and 6-4 on the good rushing days

Note: Burleson hurt 7 games, Broyles hurt 8 games, Calvin missed 2 games, Pettigrew missed 2 games. Lost Young and never replaced him properly

2012 8 good and 8 bad.
3-5 on good days
1-7 on bad days

Note WRs 2/3 missed last 6 games, WR 2-4 missed last 5 games and WRs 2-4 and TE missed last 4 gaames.

2011 7 good and 10 bad (includes playoffs)

3-4 on good days
7-3 on bad rushing days

Note no downfield weapons got hurt in 2011

So what you're saying is that if the Lions have PERFECT health, they could win 10 games??

Great plan in the NFL. Nobody ever gets hurt.

I'm saying they can miss one guy from WRs and one guy from CB/safety. But not two or more in each position group. Normal health is one guy. Or just not have them both hurt at the same time like what happened with our weapons and Dbs the last 2 seasons.

Lions missed 2 more downfield weapons 11 times in the past 32

2-9 in those games. 0-6 to finish 2012 and and 2-3 in 2013. The wins were just missing Burleson/Broyles (Dallas/at Chicago).

Out of the 11, 7 times it was 3 or more guys. 0-7 in those games. Final 6 in 2012 and Week 17 in 2013.

So Lions missing 3 or more 0-7
Lions missing 2 (2-2) scored 27 in one loss, other loss missing Calvin/Burleson/Waddle and had no run game or pass pro (5 sacks allowed)

And we need to run the ball better. As close to 16 games as possible. Bad running means a loss if your weapons are hurt too.

Bad running can still mean wins (see 7-3 2011) if your weapons are healthy.

Well shit, get Barry on the phone and suit him up! 19-0 baby!!!!!

So what. All your showing us is that they are a bad team with no depth. 2011? they did not do shit. This year will be no different. Crap organization and front office. All they do is band aid a team together in the hopes of selling out every game. Your excuses are getting old and are meaningless.

They did well in 2011. Concentrated injuries at db and wr/te have screwed us. We are not going to lose two or three in each position group every year all the time. Some damn health and they can win and go far.

And it takes three weapons out to really screw us besides Calvin.

so if no one gets hurt and we run the ball over 100 yards every game.....we could win enough games to take the division? Well no shit Nostradamus!

We never replaced a 600 yard WR properly?...such a mountain for mayhew to climb, I know.....

I know. Groundbreaking stuff here. ESPN level analysis.

You guys are being too damned hard on LKP. He makes a good point here... if you combine everything he has said in all of his threads, it paints an absolutely truthful picture....

IF we managed to stay healthy....

and IF Stafford steps up and becomes that elite QB we've all been hoping for...

and IF Calvin puts up the best season of his career....

and IF young players like Slay and Broyles make that leap to the next level...

and IF Reggie and Joique are better than they have ever been before...

and IF we cut the penalties down to nil....

and IF Billy Sims and Barry Sanders leave their jack-juice in the water bottles of every player...

and IF Coach Caldwell is better than anyone, including Mayhew, believes he really is....

and IF Waddle goes to the Pro-Bowl....

and IF Lombardi and Austin are ready to step into their new roles like they are already HOF....

and IF Kate Upton sucks off every player we have before the game and at half time....

and IF no one chooses the wind over the ball or throws a flag that negates a challenge to a TD that never happened...

And if the Ghost of WCF gives God Himself a fucking handjob for the promise of one extra win...

....

WE COULD BE THE GREATEST TEAM IN THE NFL THIS SEASON AND WIN THE SUPERBOWL!!!!

Because we are the most talented team in the NFL, obviously.

IF I just busted a gut laughing at this post...I'm going need your insurance info.

You forgot blizzards... lol

One guy can get hurt out of WR/TE and and one of the DBs can get hurt. That's normal health. The fact that you think I said no one can get hurt just proves how dumb you are.

Seattle only 4 times out of 32 did Seattle had two hurt from their secondary the last 2 years. And that was due to Browner suspension. PEDs anyone or do they just have normal health.

Another new gem of a term from LKP: "normal health"

lmao add it to the list "true wins" "real completion %" "true interceptions"

Not having 3 weapons out at the same time or 2 DBs or more out of the 5. We'll see if we can stay healthy.

The theme was to dump the injured guys this year with Burleson, Delmas and Houston.

Broyles, Jones, Greenwood and Bentley get one more chance to prove health. Their cheap contracts keep them on the roster as well as losing Willie Young.

oh, you mean he dumped the guys that should have been dumped years ago? yet another brilliant strategy from mayhew!

Burleson got a second chance and then had a freak car accident. He produced on the field. And you know, he took a pay cut. Maybe you forgot that.

Delmas 2012 was injury filled which is why he got a backloaded contract based on playing time. Good move. And a safety was added in Quin so we would still have one good safety on the field at least.

Houston played well in 2011/2012 and earned that contract. Then he got hurt for most of 2013. Houston 2012 only missed the first 2 games. Right call to re-sign him at the time.
