Russell Okung

I'd be okay if we can get out after year 1 in case he doesn't stay healthy. Or year 2 kicks in if he plays enough games/snaps.

Giving Okung 13 million for a 1 year deal likely means we don't resign Slay or Ansah one ahead of their free agent season.

Likely, not guaranteed.

I'd pass.

You need to have current cap money to resign for future years?

Two sides to that question:

First, I seriously doubt Okung is willing to sign a one year deal.

Second, why would either Slay or Ansah re-sign early unless we pump up the cashflow a little up front?

Both of them stand to make a fortune in free agency, no reason to extend early before getting that taste unless it makes them a lot richer this season.

So when stafford sucks we:

Blame lack of run game. Get a complementary run game so we

Blame lack of weapons. Get moar weapons so we

Blame the oline. Add reiff, warford, tomlinson and have the chance to add okung....but we're worried about money? Really?

We get okung and stafford still sucks....wait....this sounds familiar....

Doesn't that happen, either make them rich or they taste FA, weather Okung signs a one year deal or not?

I also don't think he signs a one year deal.. But hypothetically he does I don't think it changes anything for Slay or Ziggy.

Based on what.. No different than saying Matt is going to suck, just a guess at this point. He was good, then he wasn't (3 1/2 years worth) then he was.

Based on what Cooter is doing for him, Stafford turned a corner last year, just took an OC that knew how to get the best out of him. Imo, we'll see the same guy that we saw down the stretch last year.

With Cooter they probably played the easiest 9 game stretch in sports history. In 5 years I haven't seen Matt have any consistent play against good teams on the road. Or at home for that matter.

I've said this before but stats don't lie.

It might have something to do with Matt not having a good defense or a good running game basically all of his career. If Matt could win games with his arm alone vs teams like Green Bay and Denver he'd be an all pro every year. Check the super bowl. That wasn't won by Peyton or cam.

And oh my what an over exaggeration on the easiest 9 game stretch in history. Lol what do you want to do play a playoff team all year?

Dude..we had third hardest strength of schedule in the entire nfl. And he threw 32 tds. Look up things before you use your bias. It can make you look ignorant.

those are fair points for the team not winning a playoff game in over 1/4 of a century. But you have to consider his poor accuracy, poor decision making and lack of athleticism as reasons he is just an average, overrated QB.

LOL at the Stafford haters.... Let's just cut him and take a chance on drafting a QB because anything is better than a non athletic dumb ass who has bad decision making right? Yall have got to be freaking kidding me. What a joke. I'm not saying he's the best qb ever, but damn kid shows promise at the end of the season with a OC that ACTUALLY put him in a position to do well and everyone still hating hard as fuck. And yeah easiest 9 game strech ever? We had to play the Packers TWICE within those 9 games... SUPER EASY right? Ignorant af.
