Russell Wilson....lol

Stafford had a good year...probably the second best of his career. Every QB gets to go against the good and bad defenses. Wait until the dust settles and look at the season as a whole. That said...Wilson had a much better season that Stafford. Every year he has been in the league he has had better seasons than Stafford (compared head to head). I don't think he is elite but he is getting close. Stafford is slightly above average with a few good years in thrown in there. Wilson has been very good and moving towards elite.

He can be good at times. Not a huge surprise. But this season is like his other ones, too inconsistent.

First 8 games, passer rating of 84.1, 13 TD 11 INT. 6.97 YPA. Inline with his career. If you take that tough 3 game stretch, Denver, Seattle and Arizona - it's even worse.

And yes every team has tough and weak teams they play. But the team as a whole, Matt is partly to blame - performs poorly against better competition. They doesn't bold well when trying to win a playoff game. Let alone a SB.

And you're a ****ing retard. I don't have to agree with you, you ****ing momo. I think Wilson is overrated. I gave my reasons on why i think he is. Want them again? He was drafted on a team with ZERO stability at the QB spot, #1 defense on the planet and probably the best RB on the planet in Lynch at the time. He was asked to do little. I always thought he was decent/good, but he isn't God. Numerous times i have explained this. Sorry if you're too much of a ****ing retard to get it.

And if i had the choice of Wilson or Stafford? I honestly don't prefer one or the other. Flip a coin...im happy with either QB.

He has had the best defense, that is for sure. That helps his win loss record for sure.
Not sure why being drafted to a team with ZERO stability at the QB spot is a negative. He took a weak position and stabilized it. That's a positive.
So because Lynch was good his rookie year, that invalidates the next 3 years? In Wilson's second year Lynch wasn't a top 20 back in terms of YPC. He was well behind Reggie Bush that year.

You don't like him because you don't like him, that's fine. Just don't make up BS excuses like he had an elite running game every year to pretend to justify your point.

Every year he has been asked to do more and more, and he raises his game every year.
You're probably on an island in your belief that Wilson and Stafford are equal.

Yeah, good call comparing Sanchez to Wilson. Guy hasn't cracked a 88 QBR his entire career. He still was an average NFL QB on those good teams. Great comparison, got any other gems for me?

Tony says he's "good", and yet the start of this thread has the hand slapping emoji and continues to belittle his accomplishments. He think Russell Wilson is good like I think Stafford is good; he doesn't.

I don't think Russell Wilson is a "god." But, he's damn sure better than what the Lions parade out every year. Tony bitches about the O-line as a defense for Stafford every season. Did you see what Wilson worked behind this year? Did you watch the Lions game vs Seattle? Wilson would have LOVED to have Stafford's line that day. Their pass protection is absolutely horrid, and yet he made it work to the tune of a 110 passer rating, 34 tds/8 INTs, and I'm going to mention 550 rushing yards (which Tony magically washes away because Stafford can't run that well).

Not to mention eye test, Wilson has such a better feel for the game. Knows where to move in the pocket, makes things happen. He's a better QB than Stafford, stats, wins, whatever the frick methodology you want to use.

I just don't see how you can watch him play and not see he is elite.

Guy extends play as good as anyone in the league. Is one of the more accurate QBs in the league. Adds playmaking ability with his legs. Compared to our QB: Thows the ball down the field more often than Stafford. Had more TDs than Stafford in his first 4 years, the Stafford has had over the same period.
For the yard people Wilson put up more yards than Stafford did this year.

Even his first 9 horrible games this year, were more productive than 5 of 7 Stafford's years.

I think almost everyone thinks Wilson is significantly better than Stafford. I can only think of 2 on these boards that don't, Tony and LKP.

Wilson was 14th in passer rating...all time. He also threw in 500+ rushing yards.

He may not be elite (yet), but his season sure was.

This is the reason why i spew venom. Idiots like you. Im making up BS excuses about the Seahawks running game now? Lynch is Beastmode....remember? He has run for OVER 1200+ yards since 2011 to 2014, with double digit TDs to match. Yeah, wtf was i thinking? Elite? He's average!! And take your YPC and shove it! Nobody fears Reggie Bush....they never did. You stack the box for a guy like Lynch. And when you stack the box, it makes life easier for a QB. That's a little FOOTBALL 101 for ya, shooter!!!

You're right! Stats do win and both Staff and RW had similar stats. RW obviously being better on the ground. Both have garbage OLines, Seattle has a run game...we don't, we have better weapons that catch the ball. I think they're both good QBs. So what if i laugh at Wilson? Your feelings hurt? Do you have to explain to the poster above your bed every night that i really don't mean what the big bad Tony has to say? I'm just sick of the God complex people portray this kid to be....

Better completion percentage, better YPA, better TD rate, better INT rate, led the NFL in passer rating & added 550 yards on the ground. The ONLY statistical category where Stafford beat Wilson was in passing yards. He beat him by 238 yards...of course, Stafford needed 109 more passing attempts to gain those extra 238 yards!

Justifying his first 9 games is a ****ing joke. Is this a Seattle Seahawk board? A Wilson Fan Boy Club? Wtf is going on? He was ****ing horrific in that span lol. Horrible!!

And do the RW boys have an answer yet on why Jimmy Graham turned from a superstar into a bag of shit yet? Or is that going to get completely ignored?

I think these numbers speak for themselves. Am I a fan of twenty dollars because it's more than ten?

All those stats you mentioned are correct, but they are so close this year its scary. Only thing RW did better was run the ball. Too close in stats to say he was the better QB than Stafford. Stafford struggled against better defenses, Wilson struggled against better defenses. BOTH QBs lit up weaker defenses. Both QBs are good......one is NOT better than the other. Sorry but its true.

But he did everything better...some closer than others but it was every meaningful passing stat. 2 of the following 4 are pretty close but the others are not that close.

Comp% 68.1% - 67.2%, close but slight edge to Wilson
TD% 7.0% - 5.4%, not that close, Wilson
INT% 1.7% - 2.2%, edge to Wilson
YPA 8.33 - 7.2, not close, Wilson

I could see your point if each guy had a few stats in their favor or even if Stafford did one thing significantly better and Wilson edged him out for a few others...but it is every single one plus his rushing yards. Sorry...everything points to Wilson being better.

What do you mean those numbers aren't close?? Cmon, Tommy lol. They're all in the same ballpark!!!

Not to argue but a yard more in YPA is freakin' huge. Not sure if TD % is, both seemed to do well.

Lol. Its 1 YARD PER ATTEMPT more. ONE! How is that huge? And the stat is kinda useless when comparing who's better.

I guess because between one and the other there's a shit load of players. I read some articles on YPA and Super Bowl success.

And of course you think it's a useless stat .. it doesn't sync with your argument.

I pretty much agree with you on Russell Wilson but I can't say I agree on this stat in particular.

Would you also make the argument that a RB with a 3.0 YPC is barely worse than a RB with a 4.0 YPC average? As far as I'm aware, 3.0 is considered shit and 4.0 is considered decent.
