Seattle 23 SF 17 Final NFC title

Does it matter? as stated, whether proven or not, if you don't have an eye of distrust on that man then you have an infinite amount of more faith than I do. How many players and coaches have been caught in the NFL the past 10 years?

Did anyone of you know Belichek was cheating before he was busted? what about Sean Payton with the bounty scandal???? Do you think ol' Pete hasn't figured out something?

Who amongst us can say what is or is not happening, but once busted the taint should always be associated in all they do unless some evidence exists to demonstrate otherwise.

Did Pete ever show any remorse for what he did at USC? not to my knowledge. Why would anyone think he isn't trying to cheat to win in the NFL when he has never shown even the smallest amount of remorse for what he did?

Do you feel the same way about Reggie Bush?

True, but IMO they didn't win anything worth bragging about yet. Act like that after winning the Super Bowl is different from still having another team to compete against. Peyton has the ability to understand that so you didn't hear him talk like that. Who would you rather have on the Lions??? I'm tired of listening to fools mouth off when they have yet to win the ultimate prize.

First off, comparing his reactions to Manning or any QB it's a bit far fetched. QB are usually more level headed.

Second, this was a CB a minute after making a huge play, a minute after Crabtree put his hands in his face (after the play) - not hard to figure out why he might be extra pumped.

So you'd be okay if he does this after a SB victory but not after NFC title? Okay that "fools mouth off" after the SB?

To some extent, yes; however, Pete was the person who was in the position of power and control, the one who ultimately is supposed to have the moral fiber and integrity to not allow those events to happen while under his authority. Harder to blame the kid who was trying to help his family, just in a misguided way. Pete was supposed to provide the proper guidance but didn't even stick around to suffer the slightest consequence nor man up in any way. People do not change their ways from that type of behavior when their improper actions do not result in some type of negative impact on their lives. Pete just moved on to an even more lucrative position. What is the message there? "Cheat if you must, just do whatever you have to in order for us to win."

Give me your reasoning why he should suddenly change his stripes? Just because he is now in the NFL? Certainly you are not na?ve enough to think the demands of the job are less, right? Slightly different, certainly, but not so much as to believe the same triggers that caused him to cheat at USC are no longer part of the lifestyle and demands of the job.

1. True
2. Be man enough to direct your words at that person at that time and not childish enough to say what he did on the mic to the world. Never a big fan of people who behave like that and making excuses for them when they do means others will behave similarly in the future, and then try to top what the other guy did. Look how the music industry has produced a constant stream of 'personalities' who try to outdo what others have done to get attention, without regard to how it makes them look. Why society gives them more positive spotlight for such behavior escapes me.
3. Only from the viewpoint that they would have won it all and not have more work to be done. If I'm a coach, GM, owner I want my guys understanding the difference and not losing focus even for a moment.

Back to ways ol' Pete could theoretically cheat, in the current era of salary caps, could he not find some way around the monetary restrictions of the salary cap in order to quickly get a roster of duds turned into winners? How hard is it to find businesses to pay players extra money for ads? You tell the guy if he signs a contract for X and he has companies lined up to pay an additional Y amount 'off the books' from the cap. Is that cheating? Technically it would be legit I guess, but I would find such behavior to be unethical and would hope the NFL would as well.

Just one way off the top of my head that I could see Pete getting an upper hand through somewhat nefarious means.

To be fair to Sherman there is some history from Crabtree... I heard Crabtree had called out Sherman... Not sure when and where but Then Sherman makes the winning play to go to the Super bowl. But then again Pete Carroll is a slime ball...

great game. IMO SF got jobbed on a few big calls. The running into the kicker was a game changer IMO. Sherman came across as a classless thug in the post game interview.

So Russell is a class act! Sherman on the other hand.... If he played baseball would get a high and tight fastball.
