Shaun Hill Will Return

no its not! look, I respect the heck out of your football knowledge. you can at least put forth a logical argument and I have to respect that.

with that said I think your arguments about complexity and having to have a "proven" #2 are off. basically what your saying is our offense is too complex for a rookie but NE's isn't to complex for Hoyer? NO's for Daniels? Indy's for Painter?

of course they're too complex for all them dudes, but what all those organizations realize (and what I'm arguing here) is that if their top gun goes down all is lost anyways so fuck it. roll the dice, put the money to better use and try to win. not hedge your bet to try and get bounced in the first round.

edit: guess it's just a difference in philosophy and we'll just have to agree to disagree.

cheers!

If Brady goes down for an extended amount of time i have no doubt they go out and find a veteran replacement instead of handing the keys over to Hoyer. 1-2 games....sure put Hoyer in, other than that...theyre making phone calls.

check again bro bro, he went 4-4 and won a playoff game.

look, our window to get this thing done is NOW! we just made the playoffs for the first time in over a decade and we're already struggling to keep our guys with the current cap situation. we have a stud QB who will command top dollar, a stud WR who will command top dollar and a stud DT who will command top dollar irregardless of what happens! we simply don't have the luxury to splurge on a #2 QB and we should be rolling the dice and trying to win a ship while we actually have the window to do so.

and again, I'm not arguing that Shaun Hill isn't worth the 3+ million to whoever signs him. he is one of the better #2's in the league. I'm arguing that its a bad idea FOR US to spend that much on a backup when we can actually win a ship if we put the right pieces in place.
he was 2-3 as a starter during the season. Leinart started the Jax game. 1-1 in the playoffs. Which is what i said 2-3 as a starter and one and done in the playoffs.

just like they did in 08 when Brady went down in week 1 right? no way they would ever turn over the keys to an unproven like Cassel right? no way you're just completely speculating and grasping at straws right?

I've already said this one is over. Hill will be back. I know this, you know this, we all know this.

Matt Cassel wasn't a rookie when Brady went down....He was in his 4th year with the Pats and knew the system inside-out.

Brian Hoyer = Going into his 4th year. Whats your point? The muppet stated as if to know beyond a reasonable doubt that if Brady went down they would look to upgrade the backup position. I pointed out that they didn't do it last time when the situation was pretty much the exact same why would they this time. Are you arguing Cassel was a proven thing being a 4th year backup?

nope , just that he wasn't a rookie fresh out of college...he had 4 years in the system.

I disagree with the "muppet" if Brady went down..they'd roll with Hoyer....Bellichek has done nothing but praise Hoyer and they tendered him at a 2nd round pick.
