Slay

Lmao. Forgetting about 2011 completely. That's rich, LKP.

LeShoure was injured. Freak injury. He had like 3 practices. LeShoure was more productive than Slay in his first action.

Your assessments of LeShoure are beyond terrible. And you don't even realize special teams is the reason the rookie from Notre Dame is active.

Broyles 100 yard game against Houston, late TD against Chicago, TD against Seattle and jerk route against Green Bay for a big gainer is more than Slay has done as a rookie too.

Who are you trying to convince? Yeah, Slay sucks. I think we know that.

The armchair GMs in here need to bash Slay more until he turns it around.

He's trying to convince us that a 4th string rb that doesn't dress abd a 6th string wr that is injured every year are better picks than a developmental 2nd rd rookie cb that got thrown into one of the worst secondaries in the nfl.

Mathis only giving up 52% completion by the way. Slay it's ugly

To be honest I can't always tell which cover guy it was that got burnt in a given game as they all seem equally poor, maybe it's just expected they'll stink so we don't even bother trying to figure out which lousy back to be upset with. Lol

Hey can we trade leshoure for another DB?

10-6 in 2011 and now 6-3. I trust Mayhew. It's the armchair GMs that need to get it together.

And 2012 doesn't count. Oh I know we had injuries. .

I want some playoff wins. .

-16 turnover differential and injuries after a 4-4 start. Playoff wins are coming along with consistent playoff berths.

I'll worry more about slay if he plays like this next year. Bill bentley looked just as bad last year. And he really hasn't been bad at all for us this year.

We had -16 TO differential because they sucked. Not because we were unlucky. You won't understand they will ya?

Unlucky in fumble recoveries and injuries to receivers hurting Stafford and leading to more picks. So yes 33 alot of 33 turnovers were bad luck.

Poor DE play resulted in lack of turnovers forced however. Which was fixed nicely by Mayhew and unexpected bad play from Avril, Young, Jackson and KVB based on previous seasons.

Slay is getting a pass because the transition from college DB to pro DB is one of the hardest. Normally in college you are going against either a mediocre QB and a decent to mediocre wr who you athletically match up with. In the pros against a team like the bear they have to above average speed and height guys at wr as well as a pretty talented qb. When Cutler felt better in the first half he killed the dbs but not consistently as the scoreboard indicated. When he got hurt and the dline was really bearing down on him he couldnt make the throws but the dbs still were pretty underwhelming. We have a bunch of middle of the road guys in the back end and it shows against the better qbs.

Every team had bad luck INT or whatever you want to argue about. You could say we got LUCKY in the fact we had to play a banged up Cutler this past week. Or we got LUCKY getting the tip pass INT in the end zone.

even luckier cutlers overthrows marshall on a wide open 40 yard pass that probably would have been 6, luckiest that alshon doesn't catch that ball in the end zone when Houston decided to cover no one. luckierest that they decided to run up the gut on a 2pt conversion. most luckierester that they decided to leave a banged up cutler in the entire second half when mccown could have just come in a marched right down the field and scored.

I'm glad we're winning, that's what's important. But, LKP, if you keep on insisting 2012 we were unlucky in many phases of the game then you have to concede that in 2013 we've had some luck. Just in our division, two starting QBs are out making it easier for us.

Last years toughies seem to be easy making the schedule much more manageable. And luck because somehow Levy found some miracle drug where he starts to play like a real football player.
