Michigan 3 OSU 2 Final!!

Beat OSU today 3-2. GO BLUE!

If we sweep OSU we win the B10. If we win 1 more we will probably split it with Minnesota who we didnt play this year. I hope the rain stays away Sunday so my daughter and I can watch us try and win the B10

Girls have clinched at least a tie for the big ten title as Minnesota lost today to psu, and Indiana has lost three games in a row. One more win clinches regular season title
17-2 and 42-9.

Michigan 17-2.
Minnesota 15-4.
Indiana 16-6.

More poor baserunning by the ladies of Michigan softball.

Hutchins is the worst baserunning coach in games of ball and stick Hutchins is the worst bass running coach in games of ball and stick I've ever seen coaching at a level where games are shown on television.

Lol. The ball went behind the catcher and bounced back hard . That is on the runner not hutch. Ball hit to left looked like it was going to be caught so what did she do there?

I think it is more than just the base running. The in game decision making is suspect, the players don't seem prepared to make good decisions on the bases or in fielding.

I was talking about the leadoff hitter who walked having to stop at second on that long single to center. Turns out didn't matter because of the walks that followed, but if it weren't for that it could have been costly. She has to be taught to know in spring training to hold halfway between first and second on that play, rather than head back to first before the ball is even caught or not. She absolutely should have made it to third on that play.

These girls just are not taught the most basic fundamentals of base running; amazing a coach so good at everything else would suck so bad at this most essential thing. Shitty baserunning has cost Michigan dearly a number of years in the post season when the competition steps up and the games are close.

The force at third - nothing you could about that. She goes off too far, she risks being doubled off back at second; not far enough and she's out on what was really a routine fielder's choice.

There was nothing wrong with the runner holding on the passed ball.

I will say that Hutch looks very stylish today in her faux faded throwback Michigan T.

Maybe that's why the fielding has improved; somebody else besides Hutchins is teaching it.

It used to suck too.
