Spartans vs. terps at home

My hatred for unders is costing me money. They could play this game twice and not get to 135. Pathetic.

I play 1-2 totals a year when there is a sudden weather change etc. I feel there is some way to gauge a favorite or a dog over the course of a game but totals are the shittiest way to lose

I disagree - to me the shittiest way to lose is to watch the prevent defense cough up a TD or some 3rd stringer jack up a three at the buzzer for the back door cover. I love totals but have a massive bias to overs. Pick teams with bad defenses and then not care who wins or loses - just cheer for points. Especially when a team like Oregon is playing and the total is only a TD greater than the spread and with overs you never have to worry about the back door cover.

I feel like I have a decent sense for games that will go under but the risk of OT and in hoops you have free throws (points with no time coming off the clock) scares me away from them - I tend to just leave it alone if I think it will go under.

Actually here is the shittiest way to lose. OK Clausen comes out all world after not playing for 4 years. Bears 6-9 against the spread this year, Lions give up a turnover on their 15 yard line 20 seconds before half by the returner not fair catching and it bouncing of his leg, bears recover, score. Then lions up by 3 with 6 minutes to go in the 4th run up the middle 14 plays in a row SETTLING for 3 when they needed a TD to seal it!! IT MADE NO SENSE!!!!! Granted this was house $$ I gave back but one of those times you sit there and laugh its so preposterous. If you saw how the Lions unfolded the loss is 5 times more painful. Never should have NOT COVERED.. 2 separate wagers, enjoy...

I wouldn't be shocked if down the road this team is found guilty of shaving points. Some of the dumb shit they do on offense is just beyond stupid.

Someone tell Dicky V that Maryland isn't in the ACC anymore. His ACC bias is still showing.

This team doesn't know how to close. Just like the ND and Kansas games.
Well we can't make FT's and our guards like to stand around and watch our bigs put the ball on the floor or just milk the clock down for an off balance 3.

You know MSU basketball has hit an all time low when they go to a guy like Costello when they need a bucket...fucking Costello.

That Izzo timeout....

To be fair to Izzo on that, he was probably thinking they were going to foul Schilling on the play and send him to the line. Not the first time I can remember him calling TO to negate something good happening though.

Double OT and the under still hits - unreal. I should change my policy - if I had parlayed MD moneyline with the under this would be a lot less painful. And I'd be fine losing the money on a Spartan win.

Any excuses for this one Sbee or are you starting to see the problems some of us are talking about?

Izzo not fouling to prevent the 3 was a no no, that is a staple in todays game.
