We don't have the QB to run that type of offense. Plus, I'm much more worried about our defense than our offense.
Tell that to the team who ran it down our throats and scored 34 last weekend.

Exactly, they ran it down our throats so our defense needs more help than our offense. You prove my point.
Also, Chip Kelly didn't run an option in college. He essentially ran a hurry up, spread'em out offense. That transfers much easier to the NFL, especially because you don't need a running QB to operate it. Auburn's coach, Gus Malzahn, runs an option because he has a QB who can run and pass and a great running back. Stafford could never become a running QB.
He does little detail stuff on every play that takes defenders out of the play. He will have the wr fake a reverse just to set up a screen the other way.....whatever it is....it works. Unlike our offense that only works 1/4 of the game.
Linehan has run that same play before. Watch the play at 3:48 on the video. Bush runs a reverse, Stafford fakes the hand-off and then throws the screen pass to Bell.

Getting to your point of our offense not working as well as it should, I agree. But I still think the defense is a much bigger problem than the offense.
I predict at least two 40+ yard pass plays out of the Ravens tonight. 350+ yards and 3TDs out of Flacco won't surprise me one bit.
Again, if this happens it'll prove my point that our defense needs more help than our offense.
oh your point is definitely a fact....defense is much much worse than the offense. Slay and Bentley are basically the only people in the secondary id want on the team moving forward. Levy had a big step up year....Tulloch is fine. Could use another playmaker at the other OLB spot. Ansah has had a good first year but he needs to progress and stop being injured all the time. Have to figure out what were doing with the other DE spot....is it still james jones'? Have to figure out what to do with owing Suh 21 mil.
So ya....pretty much have work to do at every level of the defense.

The offensive scheme has been really good this year overall. When CJ went down and Bush went down We failed to adapt that is my biggest problem with Linehan this year. But for the most part I thought it has been pretty good. On the other hand the players have just been ridiculously unacceptable. No one can catch a damn pass and everyone fumbles. Against Philly they fumbled six times in the first quarter and in all seriousness don't give me excuses about the weather. Yea it sucked but the guys on the other sideline didn't have that problem. It is really time the players shoulder the blame. Coaches have put guys in position and to many times those players have failed to make the plays. It has gotten old but I think that if they can put it all together this team can make some noise.
but they cant put it all together. Theres been very few QUARTERS this season where we put it all together. Its a constant theme....the second the offense steps up the defense sucks. If the defense is playing out of their minds Stafford throws a pick. If we about to go up 10...akers misses a FG. "put it all together" just doesn't happen for this team.
They showed a stat last night where Stafford has the most deflections at the line of scrimmage. Who is too blame for that? Is it the line not making good lanes and holding their blocks long enough? Is it Stafford not throwing the ball with enough elevation/finding the lane? Is it predictable play calling, making it too easy to know where the ball is going?

Matt has regressed... Pretty damn obvious.. Just take away 3-5 of his what 17 INT's this year and we have two more wins...
17 interceptions is not elite...
17 INT aren't bad for a season, if he was competing 65% of his passes it wouldn't look so bad. Yesterday was more misses to guys wide open. His 58% is 30th in the league.
