To make the Pro Bowl.

Landry in '71 was the last.

Congrats.....I think. Pro Bowl has become a joke. I'd rather see a return of the old school days of NFL fastest man competition.....best fastball.....things like that.

More interesting and less chance of someone actually getting hurt.

Must be atleast 10 qbs in the NFC that didn't want to be a part of the pro bowl

Don't even think they should have the game anymore. Just have it be the title of being a Pro Bowler.

It still profits a few million for the NFL.

It's not the kind of revenue they see off the SuperBowl, but it's enough to make it worth it to them to keep it going.

I don't think he deserved it.

Not at all.

Like I said.....pro bowl is a joke. Nobody cares about it. I don't think players should be able to say they're pro bowlers unless they make the original rosters.

Glad to see Tate get the nod, though. He deserves it!

He didn't make it in 2011? That is the only year you could argue he deserved it. Not that it matters, means nothing. All pro is where it is at.

Turn it into a skills game then. No one wants to get hurt in that thing, it's a tough watch. In fact, I probably haven't tuned into it for half a decade.

That doesn't make sense man. It's not a "sorry we screwed up" award. People get snubbed all the time, it's not a carry-over.

In 2014, he's not a pro-bowler.

So it only works one way? Being snubbed is okay but making it when you don't deserve it isn't. What I'm saying is. He WAS at a pro bowl level one year in his career. And he is in fact a pro bowler. I can show you the article if you'd like.

Its a "13 guys didnt want to go so I get to" award. Gratz on being average!

Still doesn't make sense to me that Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger are unable to play so Matt Stafford gets in.

I know we have this new celebrity draft format (just a few short years away from Beyonce and Bieber being captains who then compete in a Survivor style last man standing event to determine the first pick... in a steel cage) but it seems weird to me that two AFC QBs drop out and an NFC QB takes their place.

Why don't we just rename the Pro Bowl to the XFL Pro Bowl and let guys wrestle over the ball to determine the kickoff? So gimicky now.
