Stafford first Lion QB in 44 years.....

lol

Brady
Luck
Manning
Rodgers
BEn
Romo

Those were the guys selected. Then the 1st, 2nd, 3rd alternates all said no. Then they finally got to Stafford.

IF he was selected as a 1st team All-Pro, now THAT would be a great year. Pro Bowl is no longer a valid game nor is being selected to play in it a valid way to measure a player's talent.

So LKP...is Stafford a 1st team All-Pro??? No. Is he paid like one, yes. That is the disconnect. There is little proof that Stafford will be able to take that next step with this coaching staff. I don't blame him entirely, but he is what he is. Sure they could win the Super Bowl in spite of him not being an All Pro, but when he is commanding the salary of an All Pro the cost/benefit analysis is he is a relatively poor investment at this time.

But his reduction in INTs is noteworthy. Maybe he is making some positive strides toward reaching that All Pro level.

Don't know why you guys are bothering arguing with LKP on this one.

He said he was a Pro Bowl QB. He is.. now. Of course LKP was going to make it sound like he was all proud of Stafford. It would stir people up, and for once, he isn't wrong.

Right or not, Stafford IS a Pro Bowl QB now, and there is nothing that will ever take it off his resume. Arguing with LKP on this one only gives him one he can be right on.

11-17 are injured or were still playing. Gratz matt on being a top 18 qb. Thank you for fleecing the city of detroit!

Paid where his value was. Amazing. Great job Lewand/Mayhew.

Might as well get used to it. The price of QBs in the NFL is going the same way as the price of pitchers in MLB.

I still remember when Kevin Brown became a $100MM pitcher, and he was considered the best pitcher in the game at the time (though the Big Unit wasn't far behind and would obviously surpass him by the next season).

Now $100MM is what you give to a #2 starter, and guys like Max get $210MM. A #5 starter has cost teams $10MM a year.

QBs are getting the big bucks now. I predict that by 2017, Matt's contract will be among the 5 cheapest in the game at the rate it's going.

still sad and pathetic that Levy isn't getting the recognition he deserves for the last two years... oh well

First, 1/3 of the vote is fans..why would they vote for Levy? He's not flashy enough..

And secondly, the pro-bowl blows. I doubt even Levy cares..

who cares if the pro-bowl blows or not... it's about the recognition. Stafford is getting it now for having an underwhelming season where the only thing he improved on was his turnovers... Levy has worked his ass off the last few years and gets hardly any respect. i think it sucks. solid play should speak for itself, but the fans are mostly morons who vote for familiarity (see why Vick was a pro-bowler for years as a crappy QB). oh well

I don't think Miller was suspended this year. He had 14 sacks. He had a good year. The only one I think is out of line is Peppers. The rest are fine IMO

crap, was it this year or last year? oh well... as a 3-4 outside rush LB, he should have those stats. he was pretty bad in coverage this year though.

I had to double take to make sure no one mentioned Andy Dalton just got named to the Pro Bowl now that Rodgers dropped out. ANDY DALTON. He had a quarterback rating of 6 during one game against the Browns. A jugs machine in a hat would have been an improvement.
