Stafford gone to rams

Goff could be a long term solution..dont discount that either. You all wrote him off already lol. Goff could be top qb if drafted this year. Maybe 2nd behind lawrence. Love for wilson and lance and fields and mac jones is premature

Mcvay wrote him off the second he scored 3 points in the super bowl and ruined one of the better teams in the past decade.

No thanks on fields. That?s a nightmare scenario, dude is not prepared for
the nfl. I?d rather have Mac Jones.

I'm unsure on all qb's in this year's draft.. I would not be shocked if we take one but really hope we can get more picks for the #7 pick.

1st and 3rd this year with a rookie qb contract and 25 more mil in cap space is much better than what we got imo. Holmes fucked us.

I?m going to love reaction if Devonta Smith name is called with the #7 pick to the Detroit Lions! That would have to create some can?t miss Hughes classic posts.

I don't think they should take a QB this year, unless they really like one in particular. They have the flexibility now to move up in either 22 or 23 and take whoever they want, I'm hoping that's their plan. They have to pay Goff in 21 and 22 minimum, taking a QB in 21 will leave them three years at most of no Goff and a rookie QB contract.

People may love or hate Stafford and the same goes for Goff, but in reality, there really isn't much of a difference between the two of them. The Lions took on some salary, got a younger QB and got 2 first round picks and a 3rd rounder for basically taking on Goff's contract.

Fk it I'm on board. Maybe Goff can be better in a dome.

That would be nice. I have zero expectations for Goff, I see him as nothing more than a bad contract we agreed to take on for an extra pick. If Goff actually works out, this trade is beyond amazing.

There?s a lot of ifs and buts with going forward in the nfl. But who knows all the qbs this year could be busts and we?d be looking to draft a new one in 2 years anyways. So let?s see what they have up their sleeves. They at least have some picks to get it done now.

Lions have given themselves so many options. Goff test, qb 2021, qb 2022, or qb 2023, ability to trade down or up. Cap space in 2022 or 2023 when they would want to add bigger faa..Plus ability to add 4 1st round picks that are not qb, maybe 5 through 2023.

And with how good Holmes is on day 2. That pick actually matters too in the 3rd rounder. Hell the 4th and 5th rounder could matter with a nice hidden gem

I’m hearing some talking head on ESPN radio saying something like “this deal will definitely work out better for the Lions, provided the Lions draft wisely.” And I’m thinking to myself “do you even know the subject matter they’re paying you to talk about? Why do you think the Lions would start doing that now?”

Holmes and Dorsey and new personnel pickers mixed with better coaches who know what personnel they need and personnel that succeed in current nfl..we shall see on that

Very least unknown not a bad front office

With this dumbass staff... that will be our pick. Book it. Im already prepping myself for the disappointment.

Lol already think you know more than Holmes and Dorsey. Arrogance at its finest

Arrogance is taking goff off a guy like mcvays hands. An offensive mastermind who openly says over and overt how he wished he had a different qb. And giving goff to a guy that's never called plays before in Anthony Lynn.... and thinking you're going to be successful. That's arrogance... and stupidity at its finest.

I can hear it already..."we need to surround goff with weapons" blah blah blah.

Then we get to hear you blame the defense and run game all year. It's going to be awesome... so much fun.

They should be building defense and run game. They have 5 1st round picks to do that for goff

Oline can be average to above average as is.

Does goff need great or just average. He needs run game and defense for sure and some weapons. Hock and Seift great start there.

Will see how ranking shake out for pick 7 or if we trade down for even more. Dont have to drsft qb at 7 now which is nice. We got options

If we'll going to be a 3-4 I'm not sure we can do it this upcoming season can we. We need a big ass NT and some speedy LB plus some help at DE.

this could be a very good point. It's like running backs with Kyle Shannahan. His schemes make anybody look great but without him RBs pretty much suck.

Time will tell. I still contend that the difference between Matt and Goff isn't very significant. Certainly worth the 3 draft picks they got for the trade.
