Suh interview on 97.1

I didn't like the shots Valente was taking at Suh. Saying he only had 3 sacks and his tackles were down. Thats because opposing teams are double and sometimes triple teaming him out of fear.

I'll agree with you there. I don't know why people care about D-lineman stats so much, they're pointless since these guys are all in different situations. You put the 3 best D-linemen in the league with backup Joe and he's going to put up decent stats but it doesn't prove he's good.

Well I agree that Valenti and Foster had the right and should have asked Suh all of the questions they did. But that's where it ends. Of course the media always acts like a person has to answer any questions asked of them...that's their line of business so they try to frame it like it's an integrity thing not to answer the questions.

Personally, I love when someone does what Suh did today (and I'd say that about anyone). I think we know way too much about people's personal lives and we act like we are entitled to all of it. He's not a Kardashian. I dont' care what any of these guys do in their spare time. I don't care if Suh donates 2.5 million to Nebraska. I don't care that Roy Williams didn't tip the pizza guy. I don't care that Tiger Woods nailed every chick he could. I don't care that Joey Harrington can play piano. I think it sucks that we even know any of that.

Just don't commit any horrific crimes.

Now able to listen to it, I have no problem what Suh said or didn't say. To be honest, I'm not sure any athlete will share conversations or apolgize's etc. between himself and team mates. And the car thing as someone mentioned could lead to legal trouble.

Valenti was the ass in this radio interview, not Suh. A least that's the way I see it. I mean what was Suh suppose to say "yes, I spoke to my team mates and told them I fk'd up and please forgive me"?

That's the point...there's no reason to have him on at this point. Those questions were coming and he wasn't going to answer them sufficiently. It was a waste of time like I pointed out.

Right. I just assumed because its a weekly thing he probably thought they would get asked but they'd move on once he didn't want to answer them. But of course, Valenti kept at it.

And then he'd get crucified for ducking his regularly scheduled interview with Valenti and Foster.

Because that's their job, to gain listeners and keep people interested. Let's be honest, how many fans actually care about what Suh has to say about the Oakland game or the playoff run? It'll just be the same regurgitated cliches every athlete throws out there. They want the juicy stuff.

People that are listening are Detroit Lions fans. We want to hear about football. I don't give a shit what he told his team mates. We can all figure that on our own. I don't need to hear about his foot stomp, its been talked about ad naseum. He already told his car accident side.

But of course I don't watch reality shows either.

I highly doubt that, with the volume of calls they got today, people weren't interested in hearing about football.

Because they want to crucify him. But even if they want to hear more its not up to Suh to give it too them.

If he doesn't give them anything, they wont ask anymore. Im sure he wants to move on from what has happened.

Should be interesting this week

If Suh has a good game and they win, all is forgiven.

If Suh blows up and they lose, it gets even worse.

kinda like when I saw the Kris Humphries interview on NBC last week and he got all pissy because all they wanted to talk about were Kardashians....lol

WTF did he think they were going to ask him about , his stellar basketball career ?

c'mon...you go on a show a week after you play bumper cars with a tree with a married slut in your car at 1 am , and just come off a 2 game suspension for stomping some doughy OLINEMAN.

you don't wanna answer those questions...don't do the fucking interview,

That's the thing Suh didn't get all pissy. I think that its fair to ask, once not answered move on. I'm not sure any athlete would have answered those questions.

I agree. Reminded me a little bit when they guy kept on asking Pete Rose questions about his illegal betting while at the all century/decade team ceremony.

I havent listened to the interview because I entirely despise valenti and foster. They are a waste of air time as bad as chad dukes and lavarr arrington here in DC. At least Suh wasnt in studio and go all hulk smash on their asses. Sometimes I watch the video of Jim Rome getting his ass kicked for the fun of it. But for me I just dont like current journalism as a whole. There are still purists like Bob Costas who know how to conduct themselves but there are way to many pieces of human trash out there.

I think radio people can get away with much more. No one sees them, not even sure what Valenti looks like. As mentioned above, just a hack.

I seriously just want to know what the fuck Valenti's deal is, he does nothing but talk about how much Detroit sucks in every aspect, how none of our sports teams are relevant, and how nobody in this town knows anything about sports (except for him of course). The callers are evenly divided between ball lickers, morons, and people trying to get a rise out of him to hear him spout his childish gibberish. I listen to him more than I like to admit but it's usually just for some sort of sick pleasure I derive from hearing him whine and complain and talk shit to everybody while they beg for more. He's a complete hack and offers no true insight to anything except to say that the state of Michigan sucks at absolutely everything and everything good that happens is just a fluke.

Fuck him and fuck the fat retarded piece of shit that sits next to him and giggles for 3 hours a day. Gator and Anderson may not be top flight sports people but at least they can be fun from time to time, Valenti is just depressing to listen to as he tries to weasel his way out every time his dumbass gets called out on something. Suh doesn't owe him an explanation for a god damn thing and for Valenti to act all indignant because he wouldn't answer the question was beyond pathetic, if he was really as awesome as he thought he wouldn't be working a drive time show in a "terrible sports city" like Detroit.
