The FIX is in!!!

After today I am more convinced then ever that the National-fixed-League protects certain teams... Frustrating as hell that everything has to go perfect for a team from this state to freaking win any titles.... That goes for all sports...

But the fix was on today.. Just way to many non calls missed in the fourth quarter...

It happens in every sport not just football.

Is Cabrera going to get a better strike zone than Don Kelly?

Are the spurs going to get a better whistle than the pistons?

Are the refs going to be more lenient on the Blackhawks when they play the panthers?

Reputation unfortunately means a lot in officiating and if your not one of the mig boys or big names then you have a tall hill to climb

I am always going to have a hard time believing the call was on the up and up.

I hate thinking a game may be "fixed", but we have seen it in the NBA, so why would football be immune? Last weekend we watched a call to reverse a two point conversion that affected the line in Vegas. This week a badly blown call (some calling it the worst call in NFL history) that absolutely affected billions of dollars in gambling money.

But let's say for just a minute that no one was on the take in Dallas. No one was paid to make that call, and the NFL didn't have anything to do with it.

The amount of time it took to pick up the flag is astonishing. They threw the flag, made the call, announced it to the crowd, and actually had time to go to the booth and let Mike Pereira discuss why it was the right call... before going back to the field to have the refs pick up the flag with no explanation.

Did Dez argue with the refs? Did someone threaten the refs? Did the refs start watching the giant Jumbotron in Dallas to get more looks at a non-reviewable play?

When you can ask four or five questions about why a call was made, and the refs who made the call can't really give a legit reason for it, you have every right to wonder what in the hell is going on.

For the sake of argument, I will accept the "faceguarding" excuse by the refs. The holding of the jersey, the facemasking on the play... where were those? Why was Dez not flagged for coming onto the field with no helmet?

The Lions were on 3rd and one, and three OTHER reasons give them the automatic first down here. Not a single one of those took place, after a rather suspicious few moments of debating a penalty that was pretty clear to everyone except the stripes.

I think back to the Arizona vs. Pittsburgh SuperBowl in which a phantom interception call helped decide the final score and give the Steelers a win. I remember that night, when the call was made, thinking "Holy sit, the NFL has already printed about 10 million Road to Sixburgh shirts, and they aren't about to throw those in the trash, so that call was influenced".

This isn't the first time I have wondered if the revenue didn't influence a call. A quick radio down to the headset of an official saying "Hey, we can't have this" or "Woah buddy, this really screws up our plans" and a call gets overturned.

I struggle with this, because I don't want to be the guy who believes the CIA puts computer chips in babies heads, or the moon landing was faked to smuggle the presidents mistress out of the White House.

But this is bullshit.

How did affect billions of dollars in gambling money? The Lions still covered.

Main reason why I don't buy the fixed argument. The only money increase would come from higher ratings for Dallas-GB.

you cant pick it up after just ridiculous.

Then dez comes flying out on the field to remind the refs of how much money they paid them and the guy is like...."oh ya...I forgot."

100%!!! It's never picked up in that situation. But it's the Cowboys. Dez with no flag and even Murray on the TD run takes off his helmet and gets nothing lol.

Hold on Dallas last td and that non pi call was terrible

Lions won this game. Refs all deserve to be fired

Hurts more today then yesterday now I have to listen to how great Romo was on the last TD drive.... The missed call changed the whole game... Not to mention all the non-calls on the last Dallas TD drive.. Calling the lions gutless for not going for it on 4th and 1 when most have no clue how bad our line is without giving the lions credit for going for a big play on the Pettigrew flag...

Lions hadn't been stopped for a loss too often on running plays I don't think in this game.

That said I agree with the call to punt. You're suppose to have the #3 defense in the league, you should be able to count on them to stop the Dallas offense.
I'm sure if he knew a 10 yard punt was coming he would of went for it, but no one could of expected that kind of punt.

I remember the Ravens game last year.. Seems like a missed pass interference all hurt us in that game too.. Or the Bears game a few years back... Did CJ catch the ball LOL.....
Frustrating we don't get to play next week... I HURTS.. There is not one game that interests me next week
now..
I can't stand Packers and or Cowboys so either winning makes me want to puke...Tired of seeing
the Ravens and Patriots... I hate Denver because of baby Manning and cant stand his former team Indianapolis
who freaking tank at the right time so they can get Luck...Seattle and Carolina Yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Team's like Detroit do not get many chances in the playoffs... So that is why I am more pissed today then ever.... Tired of having to beat everything for this team to get over the hump...

To the "its fixed" people. Who exactly is fixing it. Who is benefiting.

Is it the NFL? Is this some grand scheme to make more money when the TV contract is up in 2022? Will networks offer more money in 2023 because the Cowboys advanced in the 2014/15 playoffs?

Is it Jerry paying off an official? Why would Jerry risk losing the most valuable NFL franchise to win a game? He makes more money keeping the franchise then he will on one additional road game (which is all this guaranteed).

Not sure who is fixing all these games....Need help understanding that.

And if it's fixed why only the Lions? Why not the Browns, or the Bills? And lets say Matt went elsewhere with the ball then what? Maybe Matt's in on the fix?
