I seem to be having trouble w/links lately ....basically Hand tweeted something @Jabril about UM ...seemed positive and worth posting

I didn't see the tweet, but I read this on mgoblog from an article at SBNation:

"Bud Foster is my favorite coach, but I haven't talked with him in a while," Hand said.

"But my favorite coaching staff is Michigan," Hand said. "With Michigan, what you see if what you get. It's professional. With some, you feel like when you get to college it might change, but with Michigan, everyone says they're straight."

We may not be in the lead for Hand but we are in the mix. The one thing I am confident in with our staff is they are closers. They dont seem to make mistakes and they make it hard to say no. And I know it also helps that once a recruit commits they then go to work to get other players.

The thing I keep hearing over and over from the recruits is that the Michigan staff has integrity. Something that is sorely lacking in the recruiting process.

"Say what you mean and mean what you say."

This is why the commits stay.

Hand's new top 3....Michigan, Bama, and Florida. Drops VaTech due to lack of a Sport Marketing program.

Hand quote on Michigans Sport Marketing professor...."blew me, my coach, and my dad away. My dad wanted to sign back up for school"

UM must lead the nation in recruits who recruit. That shifts the balance in our favor IMO.

Thanks to social media and every teenager having their own smartphone, Recruits recruiting will be the new norm as other schools start to recognize the benefits, especially with the new recruiting rules likely spreading coaching staffs thin. Much better to rely on high quality recruits doing a good amount of the leg work, plus it forms bonds between future teammates before they even step foot on campus. Gotta love thay Shane was a major force in this movement and other UM guys are taking it from there.

Michigan offer goes out to 2015 OL Jon Runyan Jr.

Starting to feel a little old with the kids of the players I grew up on starting to get offers.

Hoke: "Garrett, what comes to mind when I say the word SMORGASBORD ?"

Garrett Moores: "A buffet meal featuring a varied number of dishes, originating from Sweden of course."

Hoke: "Get this kid a uniform."

buffet? isn't that the folk singer who sings about getting drunk? send this meathead to Ohi.....OHHH, all you can eat? you don't say! YEAH, ok, get him a uni.

No I thought it was a billionaire financier. Maybe, get him a uni too?

Michigan has landed a commitment from the 2015 class, kicker Andrew David of Massillon (Ohio). The junior kicked in front of the coaches a few weeks ago and received an offer, accepting it Monday night.

Gibbons -> Wile -> David ...nice consistency and depth at the position.

And clearly Meijer didn't want him...

It cracks me up that most teams are fighting for the 2014 class which Hoke has almost full already and he shifts into 2015 and kids are already signing up.
