Might as well keep going offense...and let's hope Patricia can work miracles with the defense.

Oline and run game set. Offense unstoppable

Now add d and pateicia scheme fixes any defense weakness. Lions plent of d talent still

Detroit Lions ? Round 2, Pick 43: Kerryon Johnson, RB, Auburn
Johnson is a shifty back with good elusiveness despite not being an explosive athlete. I wasn?t sure NFL teams would love him, but he was pretty highly rated for me. Obviously something is going on to drop Derrius Guice down the board, so not knowing what that reason is, this pick makes sense for the Lions. They finally get the every-down back they needed who can finish through contact and create some on his own. Big pick.

Last 3 times we moved up for injury prone skill position players

Best
Pot smoker guy
Broyles

Yup...I?m the problem lol

People throw out "injury prone" without having a clue on what that means . So because he got nicked up a bit hes injury prone ?? Almost 1400 yards and 18 td's last year , yea what a scrub !!

Do a search for kerryon Johnson injury history and just watch all the hits September October November December ankle leaves the game shoulder leg injury update injury update injury update and that's just from last year. With injuries it is what it is. I'm more pissed that there's literally no value to move up in that spot to draft a running back. Kerryon Johnson will not help you win more games than Ameer Abdullah

Now this pick I do not like .. oh well can't be happy with every pick. Frustrating.

I tend to agree with you , i think i am the only AA fan left . AA had a great career at Nebraska and is arguably better than Johnson . So you make a solid point .

Don't get losing a 4th round pick by moving up only 8 spots...Carryon my wayward Johnson would probably have still been there @ 51.

Not a single RB taken from 43 to 51. Terrible trade.

Well Chub and then Jones were taken early in the 2nd so it was looking like a run on RB's ...And apparently Johnson was their guy so they didnt take any chances . It is what it is now

Terrible to lose a 4th round pick on a guy that is probably no better than AA. He only weighs 10lbs more and they say he is a power back. No homerun threat and said he battled injuries. They compare him to Tevin Coleman, sounds a lot like AA.

On this team that's a starter you're talking about. You gave up an additional starter for kerryon Johnson...the 5th running back on your roster

I am not thrilled with the trade but at the same time if Johnson is the guy they really liked then go get him. The trade up a few picks before ours cost the team a third and we gave up a 4 so it wasnt a bad deal cost wise.

Guice must've had some dreadful interviews. What a brutal fall for him.
