Guess I shouldn't have said people, it was Steve Wyche. During one of the combines probably 2 years ago they were talking about all the BS that comes up about players and they were talking about Dan Marino and the drug rumor that dropped him to Miami. Someone mentioned how all the combine stuff is overrated when a guy like Rice can run a 4.7+ and be as great as he was. Wyche corrected him and said he doesn't know where that rumor started as he was there at his pro day and said he ran around a 4.5.

Regardless what it was it dropped him some. From what I understand Dallas liked Rice and was going to take him at 17 so SF, pick 28, made a big trade to move up to 16.

I just think it's an overrated number.

If round 6, sure...5...not so sure

Dude is small, even by college standards. When playing better competition hour was exposed. Then there are obvious personality flags.

Late round tho, no issue.
