Ameer Abdullah was the one guy in this draft I was hoping for. I'm stoked.

Could care less about measureables. Some guys know how to run, and others can run well.

I agree. His measurables don't mean shit to me.

He plays faster than his 40 time. He plays bigger than his size.

This kid has a very rare combination of vision, speed, and tenacity... plus high character.

No doubt he's put the ball on the ground. 6 times last year, and lost three of them. 8 times the year before that, and lost six of them.

I hope he improves his security over last year, but I'll take 3 lost fumbles for what this kid brings, if that's the worst he gives us.

Theo Riddick is not a runningback, aside from catching balls out of the backfield has he done anything? I honestly don't think he had more than 20 yards rushing last year. He should be our slot or back up Tate. I don't like this pick much either, but, he still brings a ton more to our RUNNING GAME than Riddick ever will.

Why do we keep drafting based off Joe Lombardi's needs? If you suck we just let you add weapons until you don't strategy now extends to coaches?

lol if there is one thing he can do, is take a huge amount of carries. Near 300 touches 3 straight years.

You might wanna look down the list of top NFL runners. The overwhelming majority of them weigh more than 220.

I will say it now......

I like Abdullah. I do. He will add to this team. Great guy.

My problem with it is he is small. 5 lbs bigger than Jahvid Best. Not as fast or as quick as best. He will NOT be able to run like that in the NFL. He won't. He's not going to just bounce off guys at the next level.

Will he stay healthy? Is he more than a scat back? I don't know.

Hopefully his game translates to NFL. But worried what worked in college might not in theNFL. Seemed to tear up bad defenses last year, and nothing special against the better ones.
