Get StartedLove that guy, great person and amazing running back. He may not have top end speed, but I don't care
I will say it now......
I like Abdullah. I do. He will add to this team. Great guy.
My problem with it is he is small. 5 lbs bigger than Jahvid Best. Not as fast or as quick as best. He will NOT be able to run like that in the NFL. He won't. He's not going to just bounce off guys at the next level.
Will he stay healthy? Is he more than a scat back? I don't know.
Excited. We solidify and greatly improve our interior offensive line and our run blocking and now we get a great RB to take advantage of it.
Theo riddick could be just as productive as him if not more.....that's the problem i see with the pick.....we didnt get any better.
Ameer Abdullah was the one guy in this draft I was hoping for. I'm stoked.

Ditto, watching the way his vision and his legs work together are amazing. And he fights tough to get extra yards.
We just picked a kid with a ceiling.....a CEILING......of a productive part time player.
There is zero chance he could handle a 250 carry workload.
I don't know.
Hope he proves me wrong.
It's not his talent that bothers me, though.
Every year we see these "top backs" go after one good college year. Not Abdullah. Back to back 1600+ yard seasons against really good competition.
He's not huge, but he plays bigger than he is. Been hearing for a while about how he's not big enough... and he just keeps putting up the yards.
Love this pick.
