The hold prevented the receiver from himself leaping up and making the touchdown reception in front of the defender who didn?t pick it off, because the play was blown dead, because it would?ve been a touchdown not an interception if not for the hold.

I just watched it a few time. Big 6?5 Schoonmaker absolutely would have been able to get up and get his big paws on the ball if he hadn?t been held. It looked to me like it was designed to be a jump ball for the big guy.
