The Official MSU vs ][V][ichigan Game Thread

Patterson really settled down late in the 3rd /early 4th. He is OUR quarterback and he has done what has to be done to win games. He is THE difference for this team. Stop with the McCaffery talk. If Shea is HURT and playing bad, I can agree with those sentiments. But he is not and he finds the intestinal fortitude to make plays. McCaffery will get his, just not yet. It sure feels damn good to finally have a stable of quarterbacks, though.

Yep, last two games Shea has proven that he is the QB. McCaffery is good and it is great to know that he is in the stable if needed. Dylan will get his chance.

Wow. According to the ESPN boxscore, MSU got more yards on Michigan penalties than offense.

UM kicked the shit out of MSU. I have watched every OSU game except one and only missed a couple UM games. Right now, UM is the best team in the Big 10, and I think by a pretty wide margin. They are better than OSU on defense and have a better O-line. OSU has a better QB, WRs and RBs but those things don't matter much when the O-line can't block.

All that said...UM had no self-control today and looked like a borderline dirty team today. That is very much out of character for them.

Rutgers has not been held to 94 yard by anyone this year. They had 134 yards of offense vs. OSU.

I think this is an historic offensive performance.

When Michigan went 3-9 in 2008, their worst performance was 198 yards of offense.
When MSU went 3-9 a couple years ago, their worst performance was 206 yards of offense.

Maybe it was a clownstomping.

Aside from the end of the game penalty drive and our fumble inside the 10, i think they only crossed the 50 once. I could be wrong. Maybe they got another drive up there but it wasnt too deep.

Yes. It was an early drive and Lewerke got sacked back at their 40 yard line right after...
