The Official Round 1 Draft Thread

A little early for our version of LT. If it was a Round 2 pick I'd be thrilled.

Agree to an extent. I heard 2nd round a lot, but he was invited for the first round, so clearly teams felt he was a 1st round guy.

Nice. ..we picked a kid that's going to retire in 2 years because he goes on to cure Jamaica. Nice job mayhew....

Manny isn't starting guys lol. Just depth, the two 5ths from looking at trades so far is right on point for value.

Offensive line needed help, we got it. I'll never get mad that they didn't take this guy or that guy. Cause we don't know shit, we aren't pro scouts.

I think this pick blows holes in the Lions Best Player Available theory. No way he was the highest rated on their board. No way. I think he's going to be great on the line for us, but there is absolutely no way he was BPA.

Each team brings several pre-made jersey's to the draft with the names of the guys they may take. Which is why some guys come up and get handed a jersey with 1 on it, but no name.

Tomlinson had a jersey with his name on it, so he was one of the guys they had rated in their top likely picks.

Absolutely lucke tevim Coleman is now absolutely an option in the second. The value might not have been great but i like the player a lot.

I have a feeling that getting two interior OL means round 2 will almost definitely be a RB.

Ha, apparently the Patriots wanted him and tried to leapfrog the Lions after the Denver trade.

I'm not pissed about it...trust me. Not great value, but very good player and a need (ManRam too).

I love the pick. I wanted Laken in the 2nd, but there was no way he was going to be there by the time we picked. Running the ball just got a lot more viable, same with interior protection for Staff.
Yes sir! You understand. Me too, love it

You don't draft depth in round 1! We just picked a backup guard who was ranked a round 3 talent with our first round pick. SOL!

I've seen him mocked in the 1st and early second.
