The Unofficial Official Michigan vs VaTech thread

Monster [/color]]how about we try going under center and pound the ****ing rock instead of slow option plays that let the pokies react to it. That was a huge problem when we played sparty too.

Like I said earlier, VT took a page out of the Sparty D book and have made D-Rob uncomfortable with pressure. Heck, the first TD ws quite lucky. I dont think they have a better D than us but they are damn fast and MAKE tackles.

Maybe not as physical, but I would say VT is faster than MSU. VT is faster than a lot of people think.

UM needs to get the ball back and control the clock. I would like to see some playaction or some draw plays, just something different than what they are doing.

Why do they need to think about going for it? We've proven that we can't stop them half the time.

Unless they're assuming the offense will shoot itself in the foot, as usual.

And no bitching about the VT offense gashing our defens on 3rd and long all night.

I've said this all year, Borges has to call plays that fit denard's skill set. That's why I've said denard is our weakness on offense. Borges' playbook is extremely limited. But still, Denard does have some magic in him, so I wouldn't count the kid out yet. Personally I think denard should start under center, drop back, and throw it short and in the middle of the field. No more rollouts, no more PA out of shotgun, no more option. Run the ball or Drop back passes. Keep it simple.
