The ?Way too Many Bowl Games? 2018-2019 Season Thread

It's like the NYY & NE. Too much winning by another team, stinks.

You might want to look at Clemson's recruiting classes over the last 4 years along with Michigan's.
Average ranking is 10 for Clemson and 10.75 for Michigan. Its possible to beat teams like Alabama with our recruiting. The coaches have to be smarter and develop players. Clemson destroyed Ohio St because they have a great system. OSUs recruiting is light years ahead of Clemson, but they could never have beaten them this year or last year or the year before. This IS good.

according to Rivals (2015-2018) Clemson's average ranking was 10 and UM 20. However, the biggest difference is in the 5-star recruits. Clemson had 15 and UM 4. One of those 5-star recruits was the #1 QB overall.

Talent-wise, it isn't even close.

Im going by 247 rankings. They are the top dog in the rankings system and they readjust their rankings when people transfer.

I think people need to realize we have the top QB from 2016 and the top receiving class in 2017, but what you need is an Offensive Line that gives you time and knows how to pick up a fucking blitz. If anyone watched yesterdays game, you would see a Clemson team that ran quick routes and crossing routes with one guy screaming down the field waiting for the pump fake(that Bama was biting on). Developing routes were run, also, by both teams. You can run developing routes like we run, but you best have an outlet. Both teams had very good check downs to the rb's. The difference in this game was Clemson was in Tua's face all night long and caused 2 int's and a fumble(Tua recovered). Tua was never unbeatable. He just had all day to throw all season. Same thing with Lawerence. I implore everyone to watch at least a couple of Clemson series' against Bama. If we are able to give Patterson or McCaffrey 3/4 the time those guys are given, pick up the blitz, and run quicker routes, Michigan's offense could be something special. We have the tools.

Wrong, according to Rivals we both average 10.5 over the last 4 recruiting cycles 2016-2019. Michigan almost twice as many 4 stars 52 to 34 levels the playing field. Clemson's 14 5* is huge, but so is our huge amount of 4 stars. It levels out.........the coaching has to be better.

why would you include recruits that are still in highschool?

Yeah, not buying that. Any group of forward-thinking coaches could get the talent on this team into the playoff. You are describing the talent gulf between the two as though it is the grand canyon.

Because Harbaugh wasnt able to recruit for 2015(1 whole month isnt recruiting, Dabo had 6 years). I included this years cycle to prove a point. Clemson was already in the playoff before anyone signed LOIs this year. With all of Clemsons success we are still recruiting on par. Thats telling. We should be winning big games.

gotcha. I thought we were talking about what has happened over the past few years, not what could happen next year.

which class do they adjust? Did they change UM's 2015 class because Shea Patterson was a 2015 recruit?

He was a 2016 recruit and apparently NOT readjusted as they were saying over at mgoblo. So actually UM finished with 2 of the top 4 recruits in 2016 and their team ranking would have moved up from #8.
