I guess it might be nice to see Michigan play USC in the “ Who Gives a Crap?” Bowl.

Who else?

Alabama?

Ol’ Miss?

Primorado?”

Who else could anybody give a crap less to watch the defending national champions defending their national championship against this year?

Well, OK. I would watch I would watch the outgoing national champions play any of those teams, confident that I will probably see one more national championship-at least one more national championship - before I’m dead.

Not a banner year, but we have spent the year rooting for the winner of the natty.

Maybe Bama, but I don't think so. Probably a team like Texas A&M somewhere in Texas. Maybe Michigan could host a bowl game? Why not?

I actually kinda give a crap about the bowl we play in this year. I think the results so far this season have showed that - aside from a handful of guys who will be playing on Sundays - the team and the coaching staff need more experience. A bowl game gets them that.

Bowl matchups seem to most often come down to which team has more players sitting out and why.

Would be great to get to beat a big name team that just missed the playoffs and is going to have a bunch of guys sitting out. Texas A&M seems to fit the bill! I work with a lot of Aggies down here, and so there's that.

It would be weird to match us up against a team that's 9-3 or better; among the 4 loss also-rans, there's really only TAMU and KSU. I don't see Alabama falling that far to whatever bowl we're in, or Ole Miss. Would be great to pound an SEC team like that.

Maybe we could play 9-3 Colorado? Or Mizzou?

Just please not Florida again. It's been 5 years, but I'm still sick of playing them in meaningless bowl games.

My wife is an Aggie, so I would relish the opportunity to beat them. Last time Michigan played them was some bowl in Texas, Bluebonnet bowl I think. The Aggies won but they were all over the backs of Michigan's receivers and the refs kept their flags in their pockets. I knew some Aggie fans at the time and several actually called me and said "How bout them Aggies" and then hung up. WTF? If they do get the Aggies I hope it is in a state other than Texas. I saw an article of the bowl possibilities for Michigan and they had the Reliaquest Bowl vs the Aggies in Tampa FL. The other possibilities were the Music City Bowl in Nashville vs South Carolina, Ole Miss, Missouri, or LSU, and the Pinstripe Bowl in NYC vs Boston College. I'd prefer the Aggies in the Reliaquest Bowl, but Ole Miss or LSU would be interesting too.

Since I learned that Michigan cannot opt out of a bowl game, I want the Pinstripe Bowl.

why? I don't think we've ever played in it before.

I want whatever one matches us up against a marquee, but beatable, opponent.

Michigan lost a commitment from four-star tight end Andrew Olesh on Friday. Going to Penn State I think.

Alabama missed out on the playoffs. Thank goodness but maybe we get them. I'd love to kick their ass.

Yes, looks like we got Bama.

If Oklahoma could beat them 24-3 or whatever when they were full strength, I'm pretty sure we can beat them in a bowl (depending on who is sitting).

I assume they'll have more players sitting out than we will, even if Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant sit.

We're in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa Florida. Some are calling it the "Opt Out Bowl," but I can't imagine we'll have more than 4-5 guys sitting out; I imagine Alabama has more than that.

How embarrassing would it be to have to promote this game? Imagine youre an exec at ReliaQuest (whatever that is) having to make a statement about how excited ReliaQuest is to have two storied programs in the bowl... where everybody who knows anything about CFB knows this is a game neither Bama or Michigan ever aspire to be part of

Graham has declared for the draft. Is he sitting out? I hate when guys sit out, but it's understandable. It is not worth the risk of getting injured in a meaningless bowl game. I'd rather they declare and sit out rather than claim a fake injury as the reason for not playing.

it's gotten to the point that I'd rather they sit out as well. no problem... he put in his time and played a full season, and gave his all in 12 games.

I'm thinking Grant and Stewart might sit as well, or probably should. Stewart increased his draft stock all season, but I'm not sure if he's a first rounder.

Bama will probably have just as much, if not more talent sitting, so it shouldn't matter. I assume they have more depth on their team than we do.

This will be the third time we've played Alabama in a Bowl in 5 years... kinda becoming like Florida. I'd rather play some other SEC team...

Even with NIL, Unlimited Transfer, and Opting Out of Bowl Games, the fans still pay the same exorbitant prices to watch these players-in-flux in person.

Maybe its the reason people watch less no one plays.
Maybe! or maybe because the season is now much longer than it used to be, and the playoffs have rendered all other bowls essentially meaningless.

who knows?

Outside the Michigan title season this past season I haven't watched a bowl game since before the BCS. Since New Years day was the last games that were being played. I never liked the playoff format and now that its 12 teams its even more dumb.

write the NCAA and let them know!

Jalen Milroe is going to play for Bama. Would be crazy if we have more players opt-out than them.

Jake Butt posted this video where he explains how he tore his ACL in a bowl game, how much it cost him, and other related issues fans down really think about.

Opting out makes a lot of sense!
