We know that Tarik Skubal, Alex Cobb and Reese Olson will get the nod, leaving 2 slots open. The starters with the best chances of earning the last 2 spots are:
Beau Brieske
Jackson Jobe
Kenta Maeda
Casey Mize
Keider Montero
Which one of these players do you believe has the smallest chance of making the starting rotation at the beginning of the season?

I think the Tigers are bidding against themselves. I don't think any other team is willing to give him even what Houston offered. I have also heard people say that they don't think Bregman wants to come to Detroit...that he is holding it up trying to get different teams involved.Scott Boras is doing his best to create a bidding war and make the Tigers and Red Sox nervous. It's reported that the Tigers are in agreement on the dollars but not the length of the contract.
There are smoke screens from the agents, players, front offices, and the media from each team, and those national writers. We either get him or we don't. I'm wondering what they plan to do in a couple of years with Skubal, and then a year or two later with Greene? It will tell a lot about the team's direction and if they are going to be another rays/indians type team by developing young talent and then trading before they have to sign to long term contracts.I think the Tigers are bidding against themselves. I think they can keep Greene. I am a little surprised that they haven't tried to get him to sign a long term contract like they did with Keith. I don't think he becomes a free agent until 2029. I don't see any way that they can sign Skubal if he hits free agency. There are smoke screens from the agents, players, front offices, and the media from each team, and those national writers.
