And here we go, game is way closer than it should be

The Tigers real achilles heal Kton rbi= 11 Maaybin =7 Saltamacchia =20 Iglesias =9. Total or 4 players 47 vs 153 for the top 5.

It's almost like when the bottom of the order comes up with runners on they hit with a clam shell. total shut down.

Salty doesn't play much though and maybin hasn't been back that long yet, and he has been great at the plate, not fare to include those two in that list, the Achilles heal has been over aggressiveness from JD, iggy, McCann and Miggy at times even IMO and then of course kza has been a huge disappointment...then a terrible bench doesn't help either Romine and aviles pathetic bats..Don freakin Kelly had a better stick than those two clowns

Although I like what I've seen from iggy tonight I hope he's finally back to tonights approach

Miggy and vmart Leave em loaded hope it's enough, Miggy was trying to be more selective after his last zone expansion at bat, vmart with a rare trying to force it at bat, very rare for him

TWO .300+ hitter strikeout with bases loaded WOW.
edit
They did go 3 for 10 but not an rbi between them.

Tigers finish up the west coast 6 game trip winning 2, the first and the last, fulmer for both wins!

Verlander should have won also if not for the offense making some unknown guy look like cy young then of course last night would have been a victory if not for sanchez being a mere shell of his former self. a 4-2 trip would have been very acceptable. 2-4 better than 0-6 or 1-5 but still unacceptable.

I don't think fulmer will be coming out of the rotation anytime soon. I see boyd is replacing sanchez in the starting rotation now, and sanchez to the pen? I don't think he'll be any better in the pen, would rather see him work it out in Toledo and Pelfry to the pen.

Thank god for Fulmer .. regroup and try and go on a winning streak !!!!

Michael Fulmer : 7 ⅔ innings pitched, two hits, two walks, eight strikeouts. If you're not excited about this guy yet, get excited.

Nick Castellanos: Three hits on the day, one of them contributing to a run when runs were looking scarce. Castellanos has cooled off a bit lately, so it's nice to see a big day from him.

Brad Ausmus: Recognized when Fulmer was tiring and pulled him before any damage was done. He also turned to his closer and most reliable bullpen arm for a four-out save, something he doesn't do often. Credit where credit is due, you couldn't manage the pitching better than he did tonight.

STREAKS AND STATS:
With his RBI single in the fifth inning, Ian Kinsler has reached base in 16 of his last 17 games.

With Victor Martinez's single in the first inning, he has reached base in 11 of his last 12 games.

The Tigers improved to 3-17 in Anaheim over the last six years.
