Fair point, I guess. It's so irrational that some arbitrary 3 run lead is somehow different than a 5 run lead.
I don't understand getting guys work, if he needs to get some throwing in, just do it in the bullpen, where they can regulate the number of pitches he throws.what happens if he gets a shot back at him and is hit and has to go on the DL?
Genius. Have a rook or Villareal put 3 guys on and then throw Valverde out there? Yeah, that would be much better.
