But first to second with 0 outs does not gain you anything.

It puts a runner on second with two chances to score him.

The notion of bunting with a runner on second with no outs is actually "stupid." Why surrender an out when he's already in scoring position and a ground ball to the right side will accomplish the same thing?

except that you have a better chance at scoring runs with a runner on first with none out than a runner on second and one out. im not gonna bother posting the link again, but the numbers bear this out. im against sac bunting in any situation because giving up an out for free always lowers the chance of scoring runs.

Well Dotel has been stellar thus far in the season. I think Benoit will settle down and Valverde should be fine, along with Coke that's 4 really good guys for the late innings.
