Sept was his best month and he started 10 games that month. 7 of those starts were against lefty's and the 3 right handed pitchers he faced were in the last 5 games of the season when we were just coasting to the finish. Care to take a guess what type of starter was on the mound for the 16 games he didn't start that month?

He hit well but looking at his first half, 2012 its much worse. Even if he hits much better this season 2nd half, I don't see him hitting like he did last Aug. Sept. I think he's regressed and for me, that's saying a lot.

I added from July to the end of the season which was 40.. I guess the All star break was in the middle of July.. So i don't know when the actual start of the second half..
14 in July, 16 in August, and 10 in September and October.

but where is the data saying he would not have hit if he played full time not platoon?

Starting after the All-Star game from July 15 to July 31st 2011 Raburn started only 5 games... 4 were verses Left handed starters, and 1 was verses a RHP.. In addition Ryan had 7 Did not plays (DNP) All verses right handed starters. He also had 4 did not starts (DNS). 3 were defensive replacements, and one was a pinch hitter verses a LHP.. That equal's 16 games because they had july 18th off.. So yes Jim was already after the all star break deciding to platoon RR .. someone already mentioned September and October should i do August... heck maybe he did start alot verses RHP in august... But as of July 31st 2011 he was still at .219... He finishes at .256...

I did August 2nd... Verses RHP Colby Lewis... another DNS.
Next game verses Matt Harrison (LHP) he starts... ( his best game in weeks)

we were all auguring all of last year on how he should be either sacked or platooned.... it took over half a season for Jim to platoon Raburn and send Inge down to Toledo.
