Tigers @ Seattle 5/7

Yes Mitch, Raburn is Puhols! Look at Mitch troll!

You said it. I guess you though Dunn would turn it around in 2011. Sometimes players start off bad and don't turn it around. There are no guarantee's.

Then you try a guy with huge numbers at Toledo, you know Worth? That's what teams do.

Who you have as the worst hitter makes no difference.

The point is you ALWAYS bat the weakest guy 9th, I'm not talking about individuals, I'm talking about the 9th spot in the order period.

Damn Mitch, try to grasp what I'm saying.

Those close games, maybe a hit from him wins them, but then maybe a hit from ANYONE, wins them.

My point is you cant hang losses one 1 guy just because he's the dog you want to kick at the moment.

And I never compared Raburn to Pujols, you're reaching.

Except the other guys get hits now and then. Does DY suck, sure. BB, yep. Peralta under performing, spot on. But Raburn is the worse of the bunch.

Then get someone else?

Dunn has turned it around in 2012.

He's always been a low avg. high strikeout guy.

but he has almost as many HR's in 2012 as he did all of 2011, plus he's hitting better.

So 2013, Raburn will be better.Thanks.

Worth? Why is he not an option? He's tearing the ball up.

Mitch, you keep replying to the subject about the 9th hitter.

Let me speak slowly.

Who you have 9th makes no difference, because it's always going to be the worst hitter.

You can keep saying Danny Worth, but that has no bearing on the 9th spot, if he hit's there it's because he's the worst hitter and you want everyone ahead of him to have more PA's.

That makes no sense, lol. So a .265 BA 9th hitter isn't any better than a .135 9th hitter? If Raburn plays sure he bats 9th but here's a novel idea, get someone better to bat 9th?

LMAO...Oh yeah he really improved last year with his fantastic monster total numbers of .256 /.297/.432 /.729 with 114 k's and 21 walks. He has regress every damn year since after his piss poor 2008 season.... They guy among many is costing the Tigers better hitters at bats. God he has the tigers and their fan base blinded....His second halves are not worth his first 3 -4 months. trying to even justify .127 .192 .169 .361 this year is pretty damn funny...

No worries, let him bat zero for all I care - he bats 9th. Lol.

I'm facepalming so hard right now I might have a concussion.

First off, who said he improved? We were talking about Dunn who improved, not Raburn.

And the second halves not worth his first 3-4 months, how long do you think the season is Bob?

He hits in June, July, August, and September. It's Aprils and May's he bad.

I'll take 4 months over 2 months every time.

And again.....Nobody is trying to justify hit batting line, we all agree he's terrible right now.

That horse is dead buddy, put the club away.

August 16th 2009 he was still hitting .258 stop defending Raburn...Theses numbers are indefensible. 127/.192 /.169 /.361.

Statistically, kburn's worse month is May. This could get ugly.

Only reason raburn hit last year is he was platooned in the second half of the season.

For 67 games last year we had to put up with crap last year.... Hey do you realize last year from July to October when he was hitting he only started 40 games. you know why... because he was mostly platooned....
