Tigers @ Seattle 5/7

The only fucking reason he hit last year in the end is because he was platooned down the stretch...Since 2009 his numbers have dropped every year. from 2010 to 11 it was a pretty big drop.

Platoon or not Bob, go to that link you posted and loot at his splits, his second half splits since 2009 are all very good.

it's the first halves that drag him down.

And yet they still plays this clown as he cost them game after game early in the season.. Last year he played mostly verses LHP the last few months so those numbers are make him look better then he should... he should only play verses LHP period.

Everyone blames Miguel because he did not break the game open tonight and yet the clown Ryan rug-burn had the second most LOB's next to Miguel's unlucky 6 with 3.. Miguel hit the ball hard all night. Mudhen misses a double by 6 inches out in front of a off speed pitch and everyone thinks he is just unlucky.... No he sucks.. Miguel can't carry us every night..

I don't think anybody is blaming Miguel.

Hell, I see everybody blaming Dotel and Leyland.

Pretty much everybody knows Miguel was incredibly unlucky, and that he ripped the ball.

Should have traded him after 2009 or 2010 to the national league for anything.

Come on, Raburn is not costing anyone games anymore than every other player is.

He's not hitting, we know. But he's not the only one.

But he's the biggest culprit. He makes BB look like a stud.

Second basemen with a minimum of 50 plate appearances... Guess who is 35 out of the top 35 players. I will bet anyone a zillion dollars his first half bull-crap we have to put up with have cost the Tigers way more games then his hitting in the second half of seasons when he is already helping a 5-1 lead go to 8-1.... It is time for the tigers to throw him overboard to Toledo or cut him..

35 out of 35 with at least 50 AB's

There is is nothing more to say.. Him and Young both have to go.. I'll give BB a pass for now do to the injury to his thumb but the other two have no excuses.

.173 babip.

Not good enough... It happens every year. He cost the tigers way more games then he helps them win down the stretch. Out of every swing tonight his best he was still fooled and out in front of a pitch he pulled fouled by a foot yet everyone is excited for him... All three of his K's he was not even close.. Park his ass on the bench or in Toledo... His numbers have regressed every year since 2008 but the savior will still get his 3 run jacks in august with the team leading 7-1...

He is 35 out of 35 for second basemen with at least 50 plate appearances and he still has his defenders.. Just wow...

Right, because Leyland only scored 2 runs vs. a bunch of AAA pitchers.

You have no objectivity. Period.
Bottom line was they were up 2-0 in the bottom of the 9th when Leyland went to Dotel. After Dotel went Ricky Vaughn it was still 2-1. Leyland should have pulled him after walking the first 2, but definately after the first wild pitch.

The offense scored enough to win this game if not for the Dotel/Leyland 9th.

Btw, Raburn blows bad as well. "But Mitch, he'll hit in July sometime". Lol.

I'm glad this was a 10PM game and I didn't have to watch it. This team is a mess right now.

None of this should be a terrible surprise. Valverde was the luckiest closer in the universe last year. Benoit and Dotel were signed after having career years on pitcher-friendly teams. Surprise! They turned back into their normal selves. This is why good teams don't spend loads of money on relievers not named Mariano (at least until he gets old and tears up his ACL).

Please explain how he has cost us any games. Not with his defense.

You could say he didn't get a hit when he should have, but then you have to say the same about 8-9 others guys as well.

You're kidding, right? 8-9 other hitters? I hope you're not talking about guys like Worth who have only 10 PA? Or guys like Fielder, who might not have his normal power numbers but is still hit .300 with 14 RBI.

Even BB has 4 HR and a OPS about 200 points more. Raburn is stinking the joint up..

I'm curious who these 8-9 guys are? You can point to big hits from Fielder, Miggy, Peralta, Avila, BB etc that have been helpful in getting wins. I can't think of one think Kburn has done to help. None.

I have already stated he is not the only reason we are losing but he is the worst of the worst and you could put in a marginally ball-payer right now and he would have helped the Tigers pick up a game or 2 over Raburn... At least his defense at second base has improved... I have given you stats that he is the worst in MLB with 50 or more plate appearances and you and some others continue to defend this clown based on 2 months work every year when I have also shown he has regressed at the plate every years since 2008. You and I both know better hitters move line-ups to the next batter or to the top of the order.. Getting more at bats for guys like Jackson, Miguel and Prince are important. here are is numbers and they are indefensible 127/.192 /.169 /.361 ... I can't wait till he is another former Tiger.

Only game you need to look up is August 16th 2009 when our great leader Jim had mudhen playing out of position again at 3rd base verses KC in a 3-2 extra inning loss where he committed 3 errors and was 1 for 4 for the game.... Oh by games end he was still batting .258... By season end he was up to .291 and we still lost the division lead and the playoff game.. I will bet most of his meaninglessness stat improvements are games already decided. I am tired of waiting for him to have a decent full fucking season because Jim believes in this guy... Only reason he improved last year in the second half was because he was platooned and hit mostly Verses LHP.. No other team would put up with those numbers above... Hopefully his defensive improvements are not a mirage.. Hopefully.

AGAIN >>>>>>>>127/.192 /.169 /.361
