Tigers verses White Sox Game Thread Sept. 17

not in this park, he settled down after the 3rd last time, let's hope its different this time.

They should have 5 or 6 runs right now... I am so tired of the hitters and defense failing in key spots..

Jackson hitting .444 (8x18) with 12 RBI with runners in scoring position vs. CWS in 2012.

Infante sac bunt takes bat out of Cabrera's hands. Quintana gets huge strikeout of Fielder with bases loaded.

Fielder 0-for-6, 1 sac fly this year with bases loaded. Young 9-for-27 with runner on 3rd and 2 outs. Go figure. Tigers up 3-0.

Boesch now 2-for-12 in bases-loaded at-bats this season, 2-for-7 with two outs. Tigers leave them loaded when he strikes out, but lead 3-0.

damn it Doug... get the damn double play..

Yipes be careful... damn got to go to game stop for my son..

Dirks not only has better #'s vs lefties, but is a much better defender. NO reason Boesch should be in over Dirks today. Best players should be playing down the stretch period!! I mean hell, bases loaded and a full count and he misses a pitch completely that was right over the plate.

Dirks is hitting .195 this month. He is better defensively. Boesh sucks but unfortunately there are a lot of guys on this team that suck!

There was question as to whether Jackson could play Monday's makeup game in Chicago, two days after he crashed into the wall in center at Progressive Field. As a result, he injured his left ankle and was listed as day-to-day.

In the event Jackson was again scratched, Leyland said he would likely pencil Avisail Garcia in center.

Leyland also reportedly considered the idea of starting Omar Infante in left field and Danny Worth at second base, but decided against it and said he'd start Andy Dirks in left field had Jackson been unable to play.

For now, Garcia was starting in left field, batting eighth behind Brennan Boesch. Infante will hit second and play second base with Dirks and Worth both available off the bench. It's the first career start in left field for Garcia, who was slated to start in left field last Thursday before it was rained out.

Tigers catcher Alex Avila gets a day off to recuperate from a jaw injury that forced him to leave Sunday's game after he collided with first baseman Prince Fielder while trying to track down a foul pop-up.

Leyland told reporters prior to today's game that he thought Avila could play and said he could be used as a pinch-hitter if needed.

Back-to-back K's for Doug Fister strand bases loaded. Youkilis, Dunn both sent down swinging. 3-0 Tigers heading into 4th.

F me. lol

Maybe sitting 5 out of the 15 games has caused that slump this month. He got on 3 times yesterday. No reason Boesch should be in over him. None. Probably just another "hunch" by Smokes is the reason he's in.

Boesch just might be more of a hack than delmon,

Boesch swings at anything around his ankles to over his head inside or outside,

at least delmon only hacks at sliders away or down low,

bases loaded again,

wimpy goes out to talk, bad feeling about this,

popgun soft liner to Peralta
