Tigers vs. angels Game Thread August 24

Offensive woes continue I see, Greinke hasn't been great at all, yet good enough to shut out pathetic behinds down.

I had to give away my tickets to Wednesday's game because I had to take my truck in for service and pick up a rental there. It was supposed to be done today, so I foolishly believed what they said and gave my tickets away for the game tonight. Of course they called at 4PM and said it was going to take until Monday after I had already given the tickets to a couple guys that work for me. Not too thrilled with them right now.

Been setting here thinking about this Boston/L.A deal in the works and it got me wondering how costly this deal might become for the Tigers with Boston obviously now having the hole at 1B and obviously the money to offer Cabrera an absolutely HUGE deal in a couple years. Not to mention Verlander as well.

I think it's just a block.

That's an awful lot of payroll for the Dodgers to pick up, not to mention Crawford [DL] cannot be traded. I'm guessing the Dodgers are just trying to block SF from getting AGon, and the rumors got outta hand.

Please don't utter those words ever again. Thanks. :)

We needed that double play, now it's coming back to haunt us.

have no worries, Raburn 2 for 3 so far tonight, 6 for 12 with 2 homers in 3 rehab games.

You can tell his ankle it bothering him, I hope it just doesn't continue to get worse and prolong recovery.

Crawford even though he had surgery he has not been placed on the DL quite yet probably because of this trade that has been in works. Its not a block to be honest and the players traded have pretty much already been agreed upon and just needs final approval from Beckett (10/5 rights) and Crawford (minimum no trade clause) but both players are expected to approve the deal.

This deal will free up:
Beckett - 2 years 31.5m
Crawford - 5 years 102.5m
Gonzalez - 6 years 127.0m

Grand total of 261 million.

Explain the Baker move again? I keep forgetting the logic behind it.

smokey needed a new player to make sit at the end of the bench.
who knows what they are/were thinking,
Surround 3 future and on pace HOF'ers, with a few too many career backups or one dimensional players, hacks, poor in the field, poor range,

gotta protect, might have been a hair outside but you can't take that close with 2 strikes.
