Everytime i'm just about ready to throw in the towel on the year something happens to keep hope alive. Seattle just put up 6 in the 9th to take the lead over the soxs!

Soxs got the 1st two on in the bottom half no outs. damit C'Mon hold it Seattle

Unreal. You score 6 runs in the 9th to take the lead and then blow it.

From Elias Sports: Paul Konerko drove in the winning run with a double in the bottom of the ninth to help the White Sox avoid a disastrous defeat and come away with a 9-8 win over the Mariners on Friday night. The Sox allowed six runs in the top of the ninth, turning a 7-2 lead into an 8-7 deficit, before winning in walk-off fashion in the bottom of the inning.

It is the first time in the White Sox' franchise history that they have won a game in the bottom of the ninth after allowing at least six runs in the top half of the inning, and only one other team has won in that fashion over the last 30 years: the Cubs against the Rockies on June 25, 2007.

Konerko's game winning hit marked the first time he had a walk-off RBI since he hit a game-ending home run off Kansas City's Jimmy Gobble on June 4, 2008. Konerko knocked in 398 runs from that point up until his game winner on Friday.

Very frustrating how this may not be our year unless we get it into to gear somehow.. I never thought the sox would be very good this year...

They aren't.

The thing is it looks like they are because they're currently the best team in the worst division in baseball.
