CJ Wilson was an all star the last two years. He had a 3.56 and 3.24 FIP the past two seasons while pitching in a hitters ballpark.

I just mean in general about the automatic ejections for arguing balls and strikes, it rarely happens unless they really push it.

CJ Wilson is not in the same class as those starters and was 6th in Cy Young voting last year. I bet the Angels fans felt the same way about Scherzer last night.

He's certainly good enough that you don't bitch when he does have a performance like that.

It's pretty common, and he is good enough to do that to an offense.

I am fucking sick of the whining about umps that the players do. Yes there have been bad calls but it's not the reason you are losing. If they yelled at themselves half as much as the umps maybe we wouldnt be so fucking pathetic.

Hmm, in the last half hour, the ump called the last strike on Carlos Pena (Rays-Rangers) on a pitch that was 6 inches outside, with a runner on in extra innings. Pena would have been the tying run. In Yankees-Orioles, the 1st base ump called Teixera out sliding into first base for the final out, and he was clearly safe. A safe call would have tied the game. Don't say that bad calls don't lose games....

Incidentally, when Pena complained, the ump threw him out, even though the game was over. Umps need a good, strong dressing down from the commissioner, but he is far too weak to go after that.

Oh the umps have been garbage this year and have cost us directly in the past. Don't think I am saying they don't but Cabrera's pitch was strike 2 and yet he completely took himself mentally out of that at bat. Say your piece and refocus, don't let it ruin the whole inning.
