For him to hit a walkoff tonight he'd have to be traded to the Angels....I'm all for this scenario.so I jinxed Raburn, now he'll go 5-5 with the walkoff HR.

He's a career .296/346/491/837 hitter in the second half. (641 OPS career 1st half) Including a 967 OPS in 2011, 900 in 2010, 933 in 2009, and 839 in 2007. You got it backwards. He had one season with a bad second half.
Is there a reason my posts are disappearing in this thread?
for showing bad stats of Raburn, sure he had 3 decent years, but none of them were full years,I think the most was 113 games. smoker only platooned him,and played him against leftys and guys he could hit.
all this foolish raburn talk.
so raburn hit in the past second halves and averaged 17 homers in about 400 at bats,
this year in a hair under 200 ab's 1 homer .171
raburn blows this year, and starting in lf with a sore quad.
I doubt he had a sore quad. The Tigers are famous for under performing players coming up with injuries and going on the DL. This is the same team that put Willis on the DL for anxiety. Raburn has a history of poor first halves and great second halves. Might as well see if he can do something. The alternative is Brennan Boesch.
JV needs to stop starting games off with low 90's FB's it's time to mix it up, teams are sitting on him in the 1st innings.
they are hitting his fastball, and slider early,
