S> Yeah I have not played in around 10 years..I purchase cards now and then to look at them but have not played since around 2002 give or take... When I lived in Vegas from 1987-04 I worked with a guy who tried for months to get me to play and i thought it was stupid till i finally did...After that it was like card crack we would play just about 2-3 times a week after work from around 1998 to 2002.. Right around Mercadian Masques or thereabouts... Anyway my daughter Abbie comes up to me a week ago and say Caleb plays MTG and wants to play me.. First game I played with a illegal deck and used Hypnotic spectrum Deck on him and smoked him in 6 or 7 turns.. So he asks to play just about ever other time he comes over now...LOL.. So he has won a few but not tonight..

Wish I had some of the cards from the vintage alpha/Beta set cards.

illegal decks are the most fun ones. who cares about playing in tournaments, making the best decks with what you've got is more fun. ive got a pretty ridiculous gravepower deck right now where i can have multiple 20/20+ creatures with trample after 4-6 turns (traumatizing myself is fun). i started playing a few years ago with a friend who has played for a long, long time so whatever cards i buy i just put into a pool of cards we share and i use all his decks too. then we drink and play magic with a group of friends till 4am on thursday nights XD
