Tigers vs. athletics Game Thread August 29

Hopefully this will be a humbling experience for the tigers, because they are looking like a AAA team compared to oakland right now.

The team needs a closed door meeting, after as well as we've been playing we just looked lost and out of it this whole series. ABout to get ugly here.

Nah, the Tigers are the ones playing like a loose club, but in the wrong way.

Pena catches that he gets the out.

But how are they getting so much contact on Max? Where are the swings and misses were used to?

This still seems really fishy; they are just teeing things up. Advance scouting doesn't really explain that.

Every single A's batter is hitting our pitching, 1-9 they are doing damage.

Way too much solid contact this entire series. Maybe they are hot, but it seems like they know something. They've beat up every single pitcher.

Exactly, I can't really think of one bad swing and miss where it seemed like an A's batter was sitting on a fastball and got a breaking ball instead, or vice versa.

When they swing it seems like they know exactly what pitch they're going to get, even the outs they make they don;t seem fooled.

Next inning switch it up; 1 finger means offspeed, 2 fingers is a FB, see if they are fooled, if so you basically caught them in the act.

Sure am glad Don Kelly was in the lineup instead of Hunter. Now batting .000 against Colon i his career, down from .000.

Lloyd or Toby or someone have got to put in some overtime with Dirks.....his swing mechanics are terrible, he's all upper body flailing at the ball, no wonder he's popping up all the damn time.

I am very tired of watching Dirks...outside of last weekend his swings all season are 4th or 5th out field material...time to try someone else
